If you want to use it on the quad, I would not recommend it. I'd use a Grid STK Foam Roller or a regular foam roller for quads and calve.
I'm 5'11" and weigh 115 pounds. I step on it with my entire body weight all of the time and haven't noticed any give, so I'm confident in its durability.
They all roll in the same direction.
What you're looking for will determine your options. The extra firm is good, but it can be painful at first, and the regular is too soft for my liking.

For my plantar fasciitis-related foot pain, this has been a game changer. For a few days, I spent about 5 minutes on each foot and noticed a significant difference in the stress on my heel/arch area. The product itself is of excellent quality, and I'm glad I decided to spend a little more than I would have on generic wooden rollers. I ordered the "Extra Firm" and discovered that the rubber still has some give. It's not a lot of material, but it's enough that it "hurts in a good way" when you use it. This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.
It works better than anything else I've tried for my plantar fasciitis. I work in a physical therapy clinic, so I've tried them all and this is the best! I was immediately sold and purchased one for home after we received them at work and I tried it. My only criticism is that it is impossible to use on hard floors because the part that touches the floor is made of hard plastic, causing it to slide rather than roll. It requires some sort of grip, such as a silicone band. I wrapped this part in a strip of grippy gaffer tape so we can use it anywhere other than a rug or carpet.
The density is listed as "extra firm," but it isn't. It's a firmer foam than a marshmallow, but the only thing firm about this roller is the plastic rod in the middle, which is the only thing I can feel, and it's not thick or sturdy enough to accomplish anything. It flexes quite a bit as well. It appears to be on the verge of collapsing. Instead, I'd go with a solid rubber roller.
I haven't woken up pain-free in a long time. I purchased it on the advice of a Physical Therapist friend who knew a marathon runner (!). ) who suffer from the same foot problems as me (plantar fasciitis and neuromas). When training, this individual iced her feet and used a nano-roller. I decided to give it a shot because I wanted to jog more but was worried about the additional wear and tear on my feet. I spent about 40 minutes rolling the trigger point massager under my feet the last two nights. I was able to walk without pain when I got out of bed this morning. I'm completely taken aback. Because of my plantar fasciitis, I haven't had a pain-free morning in years. I would strongly suggest it.
Wow. After reading all of the positive reviews, I had high hopes for this product, but it turned out to be a costly, ineffective piece of plastic that doesn't even resemble a massage from human hands. In fact, using it is a little painful.
Oh my god, this is the best thing I've ever seen. After using it in my Pilates class for the first time, I immediately went to Amazon to order one. Until you roll your feet on this, you'll have no idea how much work they do or how much they deserve a massage. It's incredibly simple, and if you're worried about pressure on your feet, don't be. You have complete control over that. Because I work from home, I roll on this and turn it off when I'm at my desk. It aids in the circulation of blood and feels fantastic! I stand up and lean into the rolls if you need more pressure. Simply turn your knee in a little for the arch and roll your feet to the side to get the outer edge of your foot. The greatest investment I've ever made!.
It was a requirement at my workplace, with no exceptions. Prior to all of this, I spent a year in running shoes before getting into the food industry. I had noticed a mild pain in my arches for six months and assumed it would go away. I was mistaken; the pain gradually worsened over a two-month period, and I realized something was wrong at that point. With the help of the internet, I was able to narrow down my symptoms and discover plantar fasciitis. I found this roller massager online and had it shipped to my house quickly and safely. My model is extra firm, and when they say firm, they really mean it. It has a solid foundation. This is my personal favorite, number seven. 8 minutes, plus a minute on the other foot, which was more painful. I noticed right away that when you roll your foot, you can feel the blood flow and sense of relief, indicating that this was a well-designed product. After a month of using it twice a week, the pain was gone, and my work shoes provided more support. This product comes highly recommended by me to anyone suffering from plantar fasciitis or another foot-related injury. I hope this review was beneficial to you.
I recently purchased this, and it arrived on 12/16/21 in a timely manner. I have plantar fasciitis, and the first time I used it, it provided me with immediate relief. It's a high-quality product. I ordered the extra firm density, and it's perfect; it doesn't hurt, and the pressure is just right. It's made in the same way as high-density back foam rollers, but it's for your feet. You can also use it on your arm or wrist for tired hands! I like how the grooves on the roller are thicker than those on a roller ball, which are pointed. It's as if you're getting a knuckle massage. This is fantastic and I strongly advise you to try it. It's designed for athletes and marathon runners, and it's designed to relieve foot pain. I'm a woman's size 8 and the roller fits me perfectly. I use it while sitting at my work desk, but standing up puts more pressure on it. The packaging was in good condition, sealed and well-packed, and the item was clean and clearly new.
