It came in a plastic bottle for me. It's no longer in glass, which is a huge disappointment.
[50% Caprylic Acid (C8) and 30% Capric Acid (C10)] from the Now website for this product. Because of the source, I would guess that the other 20% is C12 (lauric acid). I believe C12 is metabolized as a sat-nutrient. fat.
It certainly isn't the case. It's nothing more than MCT oil.

For about a year, I was on a low-carb diet. As of last Saturday, I had lost 33 pounds. My cholesterol level dropped from 260 to 190 in just a few months. My low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels are within acceptable limits. Obviously, I'm not nearly as bloated as I once was! br>br>In the morning, I mix this with my coffee. And I have a swig every now and then. There isn't much of a flavor; it's all oil. One thing I will say is that after I drink it, I become hot within half an hour. I don't use it in my cooking or in any foods, such as salad dressing. I just take a swig if I want some. This is something I wouldn't heat. I know it's good because I usually break out in a sweat after taking a sip within half an hour. br>br>Also, don't tell anyone, but every now and then I'll smear some on my face. It keeps the wrinkles at bay and the bags under my eyes at bay. Cold sores were also helped by it. I rub it on my lip several times a day as soon as I notice one coming on, and it rarely breaks out. br>br>The packaging was excellent; I bought two of these and they arrived in the same box. This brand costs half as much as the others. I hope it continues to be like this!.
For the past two years, I've been using NOW's MCT Oil. I've told family members about it. I eat a healthy diet, avoiding fast food, sweets, and processed foods as much as possible. Regular physical activity is important. Every year, I have blood work done to make sure all of my numbers are in order. My cholesterol was extremely high a few years ago. The doctor recommended that I take medication. I informed him that I did not want to be put on any medications. Let's take a look at what I might be able to accomplish. I began to consume green smoothies. NOW MCT Oil can be added to the mix. My cholesterol levels had improved after a year. My results were fantastic this year! The doctor advised me to continue doing what I was doing. MCT oil, I believe, was the key to my success. Will it be of assistance to all? I'm not sure, but I think it's worth a shot. Rather than taking pills, I'd prefer to use this.
The Now brand oils are the best; I just add a teaspoon to my coffee and I'm ready to go. I get a grumpy tummy if I eat too much. This is something I've purchased several times from Amazon. If you can find MCT oil in glass, that's ideal. My most recent order arrived in plastic, which I dislike when it comes to oils (I transferred the product to glass containers). A great product at a great price from a reputable and reliable company.
Despite your best efforts, this bottle does not pour well and drips. Every time you use it, you must wipe it down, making the bottle slick. The bottle slipped into my hand today, and lo and behold, it's squeezable, and a large amount of oil poured out. In the process of attempting to resolve this situation, I had to grab it a second time so that the oil would not spill all over the carpet, and as I tried to catch it, oil shot out again, as if in a comedy routine, only it wasn't funny, and it's a good thing I have good reflexes! I'm sure many MCT oil products have similar tops, but I've never seen one that was squeezable like that. What's the point if the company isn't going to buy a less expensive bottle? If you're going to use it as a squeeze bottle, it should have a flip-open top with a pour hole. SECOND, in case you didn't notice, this contains palm oil, which was the first thing I inquired about when the percentages didn't add up. I was told that it should say at least 50% C8 and 30% C10, but who knows ? I was told that the label will be changed, and that there is no need to be concerned because the product is GMO-free and the beans are grown at such a high altitude with extremely thick shells. Yes, that's fine. There is an organic version that costs a few dollars more, but this was a good deal for two bottles. Amazon, on the other hand, was willing to make amends for what had happened. Also, despite the fact that the seller was not listed on the original page, this is not a Now product. If you do decide to go ahead with it, be very careful with the bottle while using the product.
But be careful not to overdo it! I made the mistake of adding three tablespoons of sugar to my bulletproof coffee, and I had a stomach ache for the rest of the day. I discovered that 2 TBS is sufficient for me to gain 28 grams of fat! I'll be placing another order soon.
As a personal trainer, this is one of the first items I recommend to all of my clients. Especially if you are following the wonderful ketogenic diet MCT oil AKA medium chain triglycerides completely blows away common coconut oil which only has 60% of medium chains compared.
I usually enjoy NOW products, but this one has an odd flavor to it. My most recent bottle came from Viva Organics, and I really like their product; I usually use MCT oil in my coffee, but this time I noticed a difference. I'm not sure if the taste is due to pesticides or the refinement process because this isn't organic, but it's not what I was expecting. br>br>On the other hand, while I appreciate the brown glass container, it is large and bulky, making pouring difficult. As a result, I poured this oil into a Viva bottle that I had previously used. Although it is made of plastic, it is completely safe. It also has a spout, so you don't end up with 5 TBLS when you only need a teaspoon. This is something I keep in the fridge. br>br>This was purchased in two bottles. I gave it three stars because the price reflects the taste and the fact that it is not organic. This is something I will never buy again.
MCT has been studied extensively in the prevention of Alzheimer's disease. In my coffee, I put it in. For no particular reason. Go to YouTube and type in "Dr. Mary Newport. ".
