Basically the best tasting meal replacement nutritional shake, but that's most likely due to the high sugar content. It's about the same volume as soda (22g for 8oz Ensure vs 35g for 35oz Coca-Cola). 40 for a 12 oz soda) isn't really acceptable for this type of drink, in my opinion. In fact, it is the category's sugariest drink. But. Whether or not that matters, I suppose, depends on your objectives. br>br>After trying a few different drinks, I decided that Glucerna was the best overall; it's made by the same company. It's low in sugar (6g) and aimed at diabetics, but I enjoy it because the flavor/texture is very similar to ensure, but with significantly less sugar/carbs and significantly more fiber and protein. It is slightly more expensive, but not significantly so. In any case, that is my viewpoint. If you don't mind the sugar, Ensure is a good choice; however, if you do, look elsewhere because all of the other drinks I've tried have no more than 15g of sugar, whereas Ensure has 22g.

Prior to my 8-hour back surgery a year ago, my neurosurgeon gave me a case of Ensure to drink. During my stay in the hospital, I received more every day. at the Rehabilitation Nursing Facility on a daily basis. For another month, I was at the Rehabilitation Nursing Home. br>br>I adore the flavor, and my personal favorite is the vanilla original. I was in a lot of pain prior to my surgery. For several years, I have been in excruciating pain. During this time, I was losing a lot of hair, feeling tired all the time, and grinding my teeth. I'd put on a significant amount of weight. I couldn't stand for long enough to prepare nutritious meals, so I couldn't cook them for myself. br>br>The surgery transformed my life; I am no longer in excruciating pain, as I was before. I'll never be without issues. I'm going to be in pain for the rest of my life. br>br>After several months of rehab, I'm going to be in pain for the rest of my life. br>br> I felt a lot better after drinking Ensure. My own mood improved as a result of the change. I was no longer losing hair. possessed more vigour (I'm still carrying around some extra pounds. ) Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Medical bills began to pile up in the mailbox around this time. I needed to make a budget cut. Ensure was on that list, and about four months later, I began to lose hair again, and my energy level plummeted. despondent br>br>I can cook a little better than I used to, but I still struggle. As a result, preparing nutritious meals on a daily basis- This isn't going to work. I experimented with a variety of multivitamins. other meal replacement beverages to provide my body with the nutrients it requires I couldn't seem to get anything done. As a result, let us return to Ensure. Now all I have to do is figure out other ways to save money so I can afford Ensure. Disability benefits from Social Security are insufficient. Ensure is a product that I strongly recommend. It has demonstrated its worth to me. my physical self brain. Ensure is something I usually buy at the supermarket. Due to my back problems, I do not drive. I have to rely on others for my survival. I'd used up all of my Ensure. I was unable to get to the store because no one could get me there. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that I could purchase Ensure on Amazon. They've got a more substantial case. Only a smidgeon more is charged.

My kids, on the other hand, stole half of them before I could find banana-flavored Pediasure for them! I don't eat a lot because I suffer from chronic nausea and vertigo. Simply take a drink. They were always referred to as "old people's drinks" by me. My 32-year-old self, on the other hand, is having a great time with them. Lol.

br>Flavor: br>br>br>br>br>b The vanilla flavor is pleasant, but the chocolate flavors are not. It is common to develop a taste for them. I'm not sure about the other flavors, but strawberry is said to be relatively easy to replicate. br>Because I have Crohn's disease, I drink these to get some nutrition. Since the 1980s, I've been wearing them on and off. If that's what you're after, they can help you gain weight. There's also a protein-rich version. It works well, but it has a much grittier flavor. br>While the ingredients list says "dairy free," I find that when my Crohn's disease is active, the ensure inflames my intestines even more, and milk products do the same. If they don't contain milk, they do contain something that upsets and makes it difficult for me to digest. br>High fructose corn syrup is the first ingredient. Take the Ensure with caution because it is not a healthy supplement. Corn syrup can be very harmful to people who suffer from certain health conditions, so do your research before using it. br>I drink two of these per day if my Crohn's disease is under control, as I have other health issues that necessitate supplementation. Despite drinking these, I've recently discovered that I'm iron deficient, B12 deficient, and folate deficient. I'll give you an example of what I mean when I say low: My hemoglobin level is currently at a high of 8. 3 - My B12 levels are so low that I require monthly injections. So, if these are so high in nutrients, why am I having so many issues with my vitamin levels? Last but not least, the price is exorbitant. If you can, see if your insurance will cover the cost as well. I did get a prescription from my doctor, and now my insurance covers it. The worst they can say is no. br>br>I gave it three stars because of the price and the unexplainable reason why my nutritional level isn't better despite the fact that I supplement with these. Aside from the vanilla, which I think tastes good in everything, the taste takes a little getting used to. br>Overall, I would suggest them, but only with caution. If they assist, that's fantastic; keep taking them. However, the cost is not justified for those who do not see any benefits.
