Questions & Answers

What is a detoxifying ingredient? When comparing the INACTIVE (Stannous fluoride) and ACTIVE (Stannous fluoride) ingredients to those found in other pastes, they are identical. Gimmick?

The answer is that stannous fluoride (the fluoride salt of Tin, SnFl2) is the active ingredient that kills plaque bacteria, including those at the gumline. When Crest Fluoride toothpaste was first introduced in the 1960s, it contained stannous fluoride (the fluoride salt of Tin, SnFl2), which both strengthens tooth enamel and has an antibacterial effect on plaque bacteria. After a few years, anti-cavity toothpastes switched to sodium monofluorophosphate or sodium fluoride as the active ingredient, because stannous fluoride could cause brown stains on teeth, particularly in the spaces between teeth where food particles could lodge if people didn't floss before brushing (which many people don't). The sodium versions of fluoride salts don't cause staining, but they don't have an antibacterial effect, so Crest Gum Detoxify is now available. in addition to a few others - Due to its ability to kill plaque bacteria, stannous fluoride has been reintroduced to help prevent and even reverse gum disease. Other antibacterial toothpastes, like Colgate Total, contain sodium monofluroide phosphate to help prevent cavities, as well as the bacteriostatic ingredient triclosan (which is or was once found in deodorant soap) to kill and control plaque bacteria after brushing. So, before you buy any toothpaste, check the ingredients to see what the active ingredients are - It will either have stannous fluoride, which does both, or sodium monofluorophosphate plus something extra that kills bacteria, such as triclosan, if it claims to help kill plaque bacteria to help with gum disease. Parodontax is another brand that contains stannous fluoride, which kills bacteria and prevents cavities.

Danger! This toothpaste appealed to me because of its concept and the sensation it provided in my mouth
3/5

However, the SLS clogged my salivary ducts, resulting in a cyst that required surgery to remove. I'm no longer willing to use toothpaste that contains SLS. It's also unnecessary!.

Gums are feeling better, but there is still staining between teeth
4/5

My gums appear to be in better shape and are less sensitive. However, despite the fact that it claims to be stain-free, this toothpaste does leave brown stains between teeth. After a month of use, I noticed that my dentist was spending more time trying to remove the stains between my teeth. To reduce the amount of staining, I've started switching between toothpastes.

My dentist was impressed with the change for me because it was unusually thorough
5/5

I immediately notice that this toothpaste is more thorough. It's not quite the same as the "perfect feeling" you get after visiting the dentist, but it's close. I would have expected something more expensive for the high quality (perhaps that will come?). ) I've assigned a 3-point scale. My father, brother, and a friend all commented on how clean it was and how good it made them feel. br>——br>UPDATEbr>br>1. br>——br> The price increased, as expected. However, it is still worthwhile. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br I see that recent medical research has shown that gum disease prevention and treatment are even more important. This is a significant issue. br>br>Gum Disease Is Strongly Linked to Alzheimer'sbr> I believe that within a generation, adequate dental coverage will be standard in health insurance. It is now up to us to make the decision.

I'm not sure what they put in this toothpaste, but everyone has noticed a dramatic change in the mouth area of my face, particularly the gum area of my mouth, including my frequently judgmental wife (who has never met an oral health product she didn't dislike)
5/5

I'd post before and after photos, but I'm currently dealing with oropharyngeal candidiasis, also known as "thrush" among those who don't have a master's degree in oral diseases. The thrush is unrelated to the use of this product; in fact, I was known as "Thrush Mouth" in high school because of my frequent bouts with these sneaky yeast infections. In any case, allow me to restate the main points of my review. First and foremost, this product works and appears to truly detoxify your mouth's gums. Second, it has a very pleasant flavor and smells far superior to most toothpastes. Third, you have nothing to lose by trying this product because it contains fluoride, which, according to my understanding, is the same clinically-proven toxin-reduction ingredient. Five out of five dentists recommend this tested compound.

Although it helped my gums, it stained the spaces between my teeth
3/5

I'd been having problems with my gums for a long time, so I decided to try this. I noticed less inflammation around my gum line and improved gum health after using it for a few weeks. With my sonicare toothbrush, it foams up nicely, which I believe aids in the cleaning process. The flavor is also very pleasant and not too strong. Unfortunately, this substance stained my teeth. br>br> This appears to be a common problem with stannous fluoride toothpastes, which are even labeled as having the potential to stain on the packaging. This didn't bother me at first because I get professional cleanings on a regular basis, but after about a month, I noticed that I had horrible dark stains between my teeth. br>br>So, in terms of gum health, I think this stuff is great, but because of the staining issues I had, I can't justify using it every day. Brushing is half the battle when it comes to keeping your teeth in good shape. My dentist recommended that I switch to Crest Complete, which contains regular sodium fluoride as well as whitening agents.

This toothpaste is fantastic!! I tried it because I was having gum pain that didn't go away after seeing my dentist, but it was gone after using this toothpaste
5/5

Yes, it is pricey, but it worked for me, so I am willing to pay a higher price for it. My teeth have become whiter, which is a plus, but my main concern was gum disease, which this toothpaste appears to help with.

Coffee stain has been removed
5/5

I'll defer to my dental hygienist on whether it cleans my teeth or the gumline, but my wife claims it removed a coffee stain that was resistant to Crest and Sensodyne. I get the same price as if I bought three at once at the local drugstore, but I don't have to leave the house.

Amazing
5/5

I had bleeding gums before I started using this wonderful product, and now I don't have any. I recommend Crest Gum Detoxify to anyone who has bleeding gums or doesn't have bleeding gums.
