Questions & Answers

It is stated on the page that it can be paid for with FSA funds, however on checkout it cannot?

This will ensure that Amazon's checkout will function properly for FSA/HSA cards. Amazon's checkout needs to be updated for this to When I chatted with the agent a week ago, she said it would be done in two days, but it still hasn't been done.

Does anyone have an experience with lower than normal BP readings on the withings ?

There's a huge problem with it. The doctor's visit today was the occasion for me to bring it with me. In her reading, she had a blood pressure of A stage 1 hypertension of 133/74 was detected on the Withings device. Another reading was also normal, so the doc did what he always does. I am concerned about how inaccurate this thing is.

What kind of Android compatibility does the device have?

It is possible to use Healthmate on an android. It is not necessary to have an android to take the measurement.

Exactly how does this item differ from a Withings BPM? The $10 is not included. There is a difference of $00 between the two models. The cheaper model can be purchased with an FSA card?

It is not a product I recommend. The readings were far off from the readings at the doctor's office and from other, cheaper home blood pressure As far as customer service was concerned, it was less than helpful.

A high reading on BP is not accurate and more than this amount actually exists

Buying this product is a bad decision. The medication I'm taking is Lisinopril for high blood pressure. During the second week, I kept an eye on my blood pressure. As I recall, those readings were When blood pressure exceeds 180/120, it is considered to be a hypertensive crisis. As soon as the first week was over, I contacted my Cardiologist and told him of my concerns. I was prescribed a higher dosage of Lisinopril than before 20 Mg now instead of As a result of the increased dosage, headaches developed. During the second week everyone was noticing that I was feeling better. I went into the cardiac office and took my blood pressure with the Withings BPM Connect, He then took my blood pressure with his device and it came back as I was measured twice more over a period of 15 minutes, both times my blood pressure There are many reasons for this, including the fact that the BPM connect is inaccurate. The Withings website states that the BPM Connect is clinically validated, but it does not specify the name of the clinic where it was validated. Doctors are also listed as supporting the device on the website. The only doctor listed here is a surgeon who works in a hospital in Paris. Would it not be better if they found a doctor in the USA to endorse the product?
Now to add insult to injury, my return request has been denied by Withings since I have had my product for 70 days and they only allow returns within 30 days. Why else would they have such a short return policy, if there is a manufacturing defect and a defective product. Then, I had to pay for a doctor's visit that was unnecessary on top of all the stress this caused me. My doctor visit is unlikely to be reimbursed by Withings. There are numerous BP monitors from the company Omron that you can choose from. As a warning, I caution other Amazon shoppers who are considering purchasing this product. Last night, I ordered an Omron monitor for my blood pressure.

This program has poor design and is difficult to use
3/5

As a result of its poor design, the sleeve is difficult to match correctly, and the results are quite different from the results of I have to wait twice as long as I used to to complete X3 readings on my other battery-powered It is not possible to configure the monitor through the app for the phone The monitor is wonky, so it has to be done from there. It replaced a QardioArm monitor that I liked, but it died after 9 months. The one positive about the Withings monitor is that the battery can be recharged, so you won't need to change the battery every couple of months (I use it However, the Withings has a much slower X3 measurement cycle than the QardioArm does. Compared to the QardioArm, the QardioArm takes an average of 2m3s. A Withings measurement takes 4 minutes, 25 seconds. It is difficult to put the Withings on and get it to fit properly even after making sure the battery was charged to 100% each time. Please take note As you can see, the sleeve on the monitor I received is much thinner than there is on the Withings site. It does not hold its shape well when you insert the arm and does not appear to be the same one shown on the Withings website. Even though Withings has an app (Health Mate), you cannot set the app to take 3 readings (as recommended by my cardiologist) instead of a single reading for things like reading heart rate. When a smartphone can do something, but it takes someone to cycle through long and short durations of pressing buttons to set up the monitor, that is absurd. It has the same design flaw as the Withings scale I have, which requires press a button on the bottom to adjust units rather than being able to set them with an app, as other smart scales do.

I have used a Withings device for nearly five years, and I have noticed that BP readings from it are systematically higher than actual values
3/5

The Withings and Omron Blood Pressure Monitors were the previous ones I used. Also, I compared the readings from my consumer BP devices with measurements from the clinical BP As expected, the Withings software on the BPM Connect came up with no issues The cloud will be used to store readings. The Withings iOS phone app and web browser will allow you to access all your data. Additionally, Apple HealthKit's data is fully integrated into the app. Over the past two weeks, I have been using the new BPM Connect. A blood pressure of 20 mmHg and an oxygen saturation of mmHg) when compared with older devices I was using before. My previous device readings were consistent with my By this measure, the Withings BPM Connect I had in my hands was consistently incorrect by an amount large enough to change my As a result, I am at the upper end of the device's allowed range with an arm circumference of 13"/33 cm. The support interactions I had with Withings were constructive, however no solution was found to the problem. While making the measurements, it was clear to me that I was following the correct procedure. The unit was returned to me because it appeared to be defective. I am concerned that users with larger arms may experience issues with the system systematically reading high. If this is seen by other users, it could be an issue for you. Read other postings to find out if this is an issue.
