For my mother's Invacare Tracer SX5 I purchased these 14" armchair pads. It came with two pads that were identical to one another. A metal insert was used in each screw hole. The kit came with four screws, two for each side, that could be fitted with either slotted or phillips Fortunately, since the new armrest had its own screws, I did not have to remove the philips screws from the old handle. The length and thread of the screw may have been metric, but fortunately, the length of the philips screw matched the new armrest. In any case, I found it best to use the screws that came with the armrest. My installation was perfect using the holes that were 10". There is no difference between these and the former armrests. There were screws holes on the old ones that weren't drilled or sleeved with metal inserts, so it appears the mold is the same as on the old ones. Identical to the old ones, the pads are still in place. Thus, the solution is simple Buy them, they're easy to install, they're easier to use than offset Phillips.
My Quantum Edge 6 power wheelchair will use these. There is less padding on these than on my originals, but I like the price. The screws could have been a bit longer, but in general I was very happy with my purchase. I bought this pad, and it fits very well, and it looks much better than my old pad, which had several layers of duct tape. I hope they will last for at least one So far, so good.
They are available at a reasonable price. I bought new arm rests for my wife, because the existing ones that were on her wheelchair were worn out. As of yet, I have not installed the new ones, but wanted them on hand. For the price, they are very good quality and have tapped holes that are only a couple of spaces apart, so Arm rests that carry the brand name of the wheel chair are significantly more expensive.
All 8 mounting holes on the photo are fitted with threaded inserts. The pair I received had only 2 inserts that were located incorrectly for my wheelchair, so this would have worked for me. They must be returned to me.
As a replacement for arm pads on a Q6 power chair, I used these. The material is thinner than OEM, but it does the job just as well, and it's much less expensive.
On this, there isn't enough room on metal for the peg to fit that prevents the arm from going down too far without the arm hitting something. I did not like the way it felt and the quality wasn't great. Investing in a higher quality chair cover was worth the money since it was easier to install and better quality. Get the right arm for your chair if you can afford it. The arm of this push wheelchair is flat and not very comfortable, just like the arm of a wheel chair.
MY PAD WAS THE ONLY ONE I RECEIVED. I will not be wearing a pair. In DEFINITION, a PAIR IS a pair of the same kind. THIS ITEM HAS NOT BEEN SENT. AT THIS TIME, NOT A HAPPY PERSON.
The vinyl cover is delicate and easily torn if bumped against tables, etc. They are easy to install, arrived quickly, but the vinyl cover is fragile.
