With this brand, I chose the metal buckle, which turned out to be far superior to their plastic buckles. 54 inches is one of my most versatile lengths, and it arrived the next day thanks to Prime.
This looks exactly like the belts I used in rehab. My mother was able to get out of her recliner and into the shower for the first time. For both of us, it was a breeze.
When compared to the snap closure type, this belt is much easier to use. It can be difficult to open them. The material is supple and soft. The buckle's teeth sink deeply enough into the fabric to secure it. The belt's length allows it to fit even the largest of people.
I bought this for my mother, but it slid right up to her breasts, making her uncomfortable and making it impossible to transfer. I know how to use these, but it just didn't work for me. I was devastated because we needed it for a vacation and needed it now.
The gait belt buckle wouldn't fit right after the metal teeth in the loop. The belt can be easily removed if you don't use this loop. To me, this is a matter of personal safety. br>br>The belt itself is of inferior quality. When I compare this belt to the one I currently wear, I have to say that my older gait belt is the clear winner. I'm looking for a second gait belt so that I can wash the first and use the second.
It truly is a lifesaver! Thanks!.
It's a good length for me. The clamp appears to be strong and durable, and it is simple to use. It appears to be the same one that my wife's occupational therapist uses.
This gait belt has a metal buckle, which I like. When I'm transferring or walking my patient, it comes in handy.
