Due to the several negative reviews regarding the poor durability, especially with one that has wires through it, I've opted out of buying this leg lifter. This is the first one I bought, I have been using it for quite some time. This has made it so much easier for me to get in and out of bed with my weak leg. Maintaining independent living is another step in the right direction. It's on the bed, but I want it for the car as well.
It was purchased in anticipation of having two total knee arthroplasty surgeries in 3 months. Several other items were also purchased as a means of getting around, dressing or whatever I might need to do. However, this product is not only effective in helping you get out of bed and into bed again, but also in helping you regain your knee motion. I have converted my orthopedic surgeon husband into recommending this product to his patients after using it for a year. You have to endure some pain to get your motion (flexing and extending) back. Exercise wasn't part of my physical therapy regimen. It took a few days, but after taking pain pills and stretching, flexing and extending the leg, I was back in action. Knowing everyone will have a different outcome is obvious! Nonetheless, if you diligently push through the discomfort of extending to 0 degrees and flexing to your goal from 90 to 120 degrees, and use this to help you get there, you'll have a chance of succeeding.
I have found it to be a wonderful item and it has made going to bed Stunning! I absolutely adore.
The product is great and the price is great, too.
I use this tool to move my legs and feet more easily. Made well and made to last. This is a good.
