What exactly are you supposed to do? What is the child's problem? This stick aids in reaching objects that are beyond your reach. It gives you an extra 2 feet of reach, which makes it easier to get dressed.
It's built to last. That is something I believe it could be used for.
The quick response is no. For that, I had to use another device, which I don't recall the name of.
Reach the stick over the 'undressed' shoulder, reach behind the back and 'hook' onto the article of clothing, allowing the clothing to come over the undressed shoulder, and reach over and assist dressing the undressed arm with the opposite hand. Occupational Therapy is what I do for a living. We use these all of the time at work - It's a must-have piece of equipment. I placed an order for one for my husband, who recently underwent surgery.

This was necessary because the one I had previously had broken. I was surprised to learn that this new dressing stick was/is a two-piece stick when I received it. The two pieces are joined together by a metal screw. When using it, it does have a tendency to unscrew a little. My previous one was made entirely of one piece. In addition, this new stick is an inch shorter than my previous one. Apart from that, it fulfills the function that I require. I'm a paraplegic, so I can't do anything.
When I first got this, it was a huge help in getting dressed, but after a month, it split in half. You should save your money and purchase something else instead. Update: The item was promptly replaced by the seller. I'm very pleased with the result.
My occupational therapist taught me how to use dressing hooks, and while I knew how to use them, the solid design made travel difficult. This item is revolutionary. If the description doesn't make it clear, this comes in two pieces that screw together to form one. This is exactly what I'm looking for. To be safe, I'll wrap a strip of tape around the connective ends to reinforce the wood and prevent it from cracking at the point of contact. I'm really pleased with this purchase!.
50- Not only because it is the only one I found that comes in two pieces, making it much easier to pack when traveling, but also because it is the only one I found that comes in two pieces. I rate it a five out of five. However, because this review also includes the sock aid, which I only give a three-star rating, I've given these two items a total of four stars in this review.
This dressing stick has a lovely appearance. I've owned a lot of them, so I've seen a lot of different types of craftsmanship. Both hooks appear to be well-made and capable of performing the task at hand. The wooden stick part is well-screwed together and appears to be sturdy. However, it appears and feels as if it could have used a little more sanding time, as it's a little rough and feels like it might splinter. I'm going to sand it and put it to good use. Aside from that, it's a nice item.
Mine was purchased as a replacement for the one I already had. a piece in the same style Because the bolt is half the diameter of the dowel, it does not withstand lateral stress. I didn't realize it was made up of two with a connecting threaded rod inside. After a month, mine cracked, and it's now useless. If you plan on using it for several months, a one-piece unit is the way to go.
Right out of the box, both ends of the stick where the hooks screw into it had 2" long cracks. I disassembled them and used wood glue to fill in the stress cracks. The next day, I gave it to my father, who promptly broke the stick where the two sticks screw together in the middle. (By the way, this comes in two pieces that you must assemble). br>br>You get what you pay for because it's cheap. I'd look for something with an aluminum pole or at least a single piece of hardwood if I had to buy it again. This ended up in the duck-shaped hole in the duck-shaped hole in the duck-shaped hole The garage has a bucket.
It works well with almost any type of clothing, particularly sweaters and coats. It also makes it easier to put on shoes. The zipper pull is a little difficult for me, but it is well worth having because it is made of sturdy materials. I'm confident you'll enjoy it.
