In response to questions about how well this FRER reflects the actual HCG concentrations among those who are like me, I have decided to post some data about this sensitivity. After my IVF cycle, I had some leftovers of human recombinant HCG (Novarel), so I made serial dilutions of it. Using lab pipettes, the dilutions were made fairly precisely, and in the appropriate buffer (sorry for the details, that was my husband's urine) to reproduce the amount of HCG in the urine for the test, below are the results (see attached photos). A defective box of these tests was in the mail today. The first one I tested was taking a long time for the liquid to move through the result window, so I knew there was a problem.
