Questions & Answers

Has this been coded so that insurance can be billed for it?

That's not the case. Insurance isn't covered, and HSAs aren't accepted. For insurance and HSA coverage, products like these require a doctor's prescription. However, none of the doctors have coded or recommended this. We told our OBGYN about how uncomfortable this product is, and she said she would never recommend it.

How's the back piece working out for you, Plys size mommas? Are there any wires on it? Is it clinging to the back of your neck?

Soft, strong, and reassuring
5/5

I ordered the incorrect size the first time, but I love it now that I have the correct size! Soft, strong, and reassuring. I included a manufacturer's size chart.

It helps me relieve stress on my back because I'm a man
4/5

I'm a man with a pot belly that's about the size of a woman's eighth month belly. I decided to give this support belt a try because I have the same back ache issues as women do due to the protrusion in front, and I figured that because women are smarter than men, their products should work well. The support belt is effective, but it is designed for a woman's body (as it is a woman's product). By supporting the weight in the front, it helped to relieve the strain on my back, particularly around the house. br>br>What I discovered is that the front-supporting part is too small for me - It's a little too small. It was made for women's bodies that are only temporarily extended, as far as I can tell. For men, I believe that making that part wider to cover a larger portion of the belly's circumference would be far more effective (in terms of staying in place). br>br>Trying a maternity belt was my daughter's idea; remember how I said women are smarter than men?.

It's the millionth time I've said it - If you're pregnant and experiencing back and/or pelvic pain, this is the product for you
5/5

Why should I bother writing a review when this belt already has over 3000 positive reviews? br>br>Because you'll have to pay for it. br>br>No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, That's how good it really is. br>br>I'm 32 weeks into an otherwise uneventful pregnancy, but in the last few weeks, I've developed severe back and pelvic pain. It was becoming difficult to keep up with the ups and downs at work. It was excruciatingly painful to walk the dog. Everywhere I went, I was in excruciating pain. br>br>I bought this in the hopes that it would help a little and that I wouldn't have to wear it all the time, but OMG GUYS. For the sake of science, I wore it to work and while walking the dog for a few days, then went without it in the same situations. When I wear it, my back doesn't seize up, my pelvis doesn't feel like a loose sack of glass shards, and I don't have to waddle around in pain for the entire shift. I simply have a normal feeling. It's a lot more helpful than I expected. Instead of two blocks, I was able to walk my dog for HALF AN HOUR with no pain. So. Excited. br>br>Aside from feeling like your 20-week self again, there are some advantages: 1) It's smoother under clothes than I expected, and I'm wearing maternity shirts that are fitted. 2) Material that is pleasant to the touch - I wear over-the-belly pants with the back part on my skin; it hasn't rubbed or caused any issues. 3) Is not prone to slipping - I don't use the over-sized version. It's kept in place by a belly band. br>br>There are a couple of minor drawbacks that aren't worth mentioning. 1) I had to remove it in order to go to the bathroom. This is something that happens frequently. I simply remove the back portion, hike the belly band up to my boobs, and do my business before reassembling. 2) I read the instructions and still don't understand what the extra Velcro is for. But, whatever, the band fits perfectly after measuring as instructed before ordering. 3) It takes a little trial and error to get it just right the first time, but once you do, you'll forget you're wearing it. That is, assuming you are not in pain. br>br>Tl; Tl; Tl; Tl; Tl; Tl; Tl; Tl; dr : Take your measurements and order this if you're pregnant and have back or pelvic pain.

EDITED! It's an excellent item! It worked wonders for my back pain, but it didn't last long before it began to fall apart; I've only had it for a month and one of the support rods has already broken
5/5

br>*************UPDATE********
Shortly after I posted my review, the seller contacted me and offered to replace my broken brace at no cost! After it arrived, I discovered that I had previously received a defective product. The products' straps and setup did not appear to be the same. The new one feels a lot more solid and works great! This is a product that I would highly recommend to expectant mothers! I'll upload photos as soon as possible!.

It was a godsend during my pregnancy
5/5

Around 35 weeks into my pregnancy, I began to experience severe pelvic pressure and pain. Walking and transitioning from a sitting to a standing position were difficult for me. Because of the severe pain I was experiencing, I ended up in the hospital one day. They suggested that I get a stomach brace. I had heard of these belts before, but I didn't think I'd ever need one. I put it on right away after receiving it and haven't taken it off since. Of course, it washes away when I shower. This belt has been a blessing in my life. Without it, I am unable to function. I'm a small woman with a very low waistline. I'm feeling more pressure now that the baby is getting bigger. I wouldn't be able to walk for more than a few minutes if I didn't have this belt. Anyone suffering from back pain, abdominal pain or pressure, or pelvic discomfort as a result of pregnancy should definitely try this. It really helps to lift the belly button and relieve pressure. The only drawback is that you have to remove it every time you need to use the restroom. Every 30 minutes, to be exact. But I grin and bear it because I know I wouldn't be able to function without it. Without a doubt, one of the best investments I've made during my pregnancy.

It gives me a lot of support as my belly grows
4/5

My growing belly and sore lower back are well supported by this bra. Right now, I'm 26 weeks pregnant and weighing around 190 pounds - I placed an order for a large. I'm a little concerned that I should have ordered an extra large, but if I need it larger, I'll just buy another. I wasn't sure how to put it on at first, but I figured it out pretty quickly. I work as a nurse and have 12-hour shifts. My abdominal muscles and lower back were suffering as a result of my frequent sitting and standing. This is what I wear under my scrub top over a tank top and it keeps me warm all day. When I wear this, I barely notice the weight of my stomach. My only complaint is that in order to use the restroom while wearing this, you must either unvelcro the bottom part or pull it up over your belly (which is uncomfortable), which is inconvenient, but it's totally worth it! Since I've been pregnant, this is the best money I've spent on myself.
