If you lay down or stand up, the tube works just fine As of now, mine is holding humidity and laying down well.
There is no longer any issue with this document. The manufacturer of our caps made a bad run of caps, so we have switched them out. With the new ones, they are black and fit much better.

As good as Boveda bags, I think this one does not work quite as well. keep about 150 cigars in a vertical humidor and it struggles to maintain 60% humidity. Those are not sufficient, so I have to supplement them with Boveda bags that I recharge in a plastic tote Excess water stays under the black caps of the caps as a result of the recharge process. You may want to consider a better solution if you want to save money.
I like them so much that this is my second one. This is a must-have if you own a humidor and cigars.
There has never been a deviation of more than 2% since it was properly charged. I'm very happy with this.
I tried the RHShield 65% beads to maintain humidity in my 2 humidors with great success, but mine started to mold after about 3 months. In a couple of weeks, I'll be able to see the result of 2 large 250-count tubes.
Customer service is excellent. The shape and size are very convenient, and the product can be placed in a variety of places without consuming too much space. It does exactly what the description says it will! I had a minor issue with my receipt and their customer service reps quickly and efficiently corrected it.
The container smells strongly of rubber and I believe the smell will transfer to other products. The recommended box humidors are not for small humidors. However, you can use larger cabinets with boxes for larger humidors.
I use it to keep my stogies fresh.
