When your hygrometer stays around 80 percent for like a day or two, you have saturated the wood, and it's time to take it out.*br>How much unseasoned wood you had in your humidor when you started, as well as the size, etc. When I put the cigars in, I always put my own humidifying material (Boveda 72% persay) in overnight and let it stand by itself. if you do not have a good hygrometer or want another method, place a damp sponge in the humidor ( damp-sponge It shouldn't drip at all) put it over something like a styrofoam plate to prevent damage to the wood, and leave it overnight. Humidity levels that are too low will cause sponges to As a short summary In order to avoid potentially dangerous humidity fluctuations, take the old humidifying agent out after two weeks and replace it with your new humidifying agent overnight. -If you asked if I took it out and put nothing else in its place -I would certainly recommend that you do. There has to be something in the system that is constantly adding humidity. Keeping the wood moist ensures that if the wood is too dry, it won't rob the cigars of their moisture. This seasoning pack is great, so enjoy!
Taking it would save him some time while he is waiting for it to be ready. It will take about a week before it is ready. Packets should be placed at a rate of one per 25 cigars capacity, i.e. A humidor holds 50 cigars, so I added 2 to it. Let him do it himself or let him do it himself so he can appreciate the effort it takes to really get it ready.
The Boveda packs have been a staple for Gregg for decades. It would be helpful for me to use 4 but not necessarily to speed If 4 packs are used for seasoning a new humidor or one that has been unseasoned for some time, they will assist in increasing the saturation of the cedar lining over a longer period of time and that is a good thing. There's no way around it, it needs to be at least two weeks. Make your humi as full as possible by putting as many cigars as possible in it. In addition to being properly humidified, cigars that are already seasoning add humidity to the I know it is difficult but try not to peek after the first week. Just keep it closed and remove it from your mind for In addition, it may not hit 72 even after two weeks. The level of saturation required for each humidor varies. It took a lot of effort to dry a 40 year old box. The right solution took two tries and a month, but the result has remained perfect for a I wish you the best of
Wipe the surfaces with distilled water but do not sanitize the wood. There is enough power in this 84% pack to accomplish the whole task. I found it to be very helpful. Thanks for your help, I hope it

Unfortunately, it didn't work because the concept sounded great but didn't really According to the instructions, I sealed the pack in my humidor for two weeks and placed it in there. During the entire time I kept my desktop humidor, the humidity never exceeded 60%. I also suffered consequences when I had to discard a box of Padron 1926 cigars I purchased for the 40th anniversary. Having to learn that lesson costs a lot of money. There is no way to recommend this product as seasoning for humidors.
In the past, I have tried and failed several times to use humidors the traditional way but never got them to work as I ended up drying out cigars. Now, I am glad I found this product. The 84% pack was dropped in two weeks after I had purchased it, and my humidor was ready to enjoy. The wood must absorb the moisture before it can be dressed as you will have to be patient to wait two weeks.
Afterwards, a humidor is seasoned. This isn't a humidor seasoning review. ** I actually bought this one in order to recharge my smaller 62 volt batteries. As soon as they are dry, I place this one in a glass tupperware container and add it to four-g travel packs. Since I started using this method, I don't have to replace my travel packs as often and they don't get worn or damaged like I was previously doing. &br>
I highly recommend investing a little bit of money in this pack for your recharges in a baggie group since it will last you all year and ensure that your travel bags feel like new all the time.
As I prepared to season my humidor, I sprayed the sponge and other items with coconut oil I was planning on using distilled water but I came across a YouTube video that The process is much easier and faster It's a better method and it's easier After just a few minutes, the humidor in my desk was 71% humid. After switching out the 84% for the 72% I'll use the 72% for now.
In the future, I'm definitely going to buy this again for seasoning. It is very easy to use, just place in the empty humidor and leave it for a couple of Rather than using Boveda packs, I now use Boveda packs to maintain humidity in my humidor. I have found this product to be far, far more reliable than other products I have.
Whether Boveda seasoning packs are designed to last for a shorter period of time than regular packs, I am not sure, but this one definitely An Original Boveda 72 normally lasts me 4 months. It took less than a week for this seasoning pack to reach two weeks, which is odd. Although it didn't seem to get the job done, it did the trick.
This humidor maintainer is easy to use and does what it is supposed to do. Using this instead of glycol solution may be more expensive, but it's as easy as dropping a couple of these in and letting them do their thing. Once you open your humidor, you should give them a squeeze and make sure they are still soft. A travel humidor is my favorite way to use the smaller ones.
