There's no way these bags would fit in a suitcase. The size of this thing is huge. As with trash bags, you can seal them as well. This material is sturdy and should hold up to being sealed and transported without becoming damaged. As long as you aren't putting shards of glass in them or discarded razor wire. In response to the second part of your question, I have no idea how to help you. There is not much give to the bags, but that makes them more durable.

As they are large and sturdy, I would be able to hide a body in one of these - my husband was laughing as he thought they would be perfect for our county garbage cans. In the end, we used up all bags and used the same brand, but with a 65 gallon bag. Our garage door is still strong and does a pretty good job of preventing odors from entering. These will continue to be purchased by us.
Advertised as heavy duty, the bags appear to be extremely durable. The thinness and brittleness of these materials make them very prone to punctures. They are not heavy duty in any way. The reason I bought these bags is twofold a) they are made in the USA and I want to support US businesses and workers, and b) I needed an item to protect my belongings from the rain.
