These totes are a disaster. For the past eight years, we've been using the same garbage can. These bags have been in my possession for a long time, but they no longer fit. They, like a lot of other products, are shrinking. These bags, on the other hand, have undergone a significant transformation. The quality has degraded to the point where I will no longer order them. The sides rip easily, they're significantly shorter, and the odor protector is now disgusting. I'm pissed because I'm stuck with an entire box of "garbage" (pun intended)! They're only useful for scooping dog feces at the moment.
Many major retailers are switching to "tear resistant" plastic alternatives. This term appears to refer to pre-stretched, thinner bags. Because of the stretching/abbration process they use on the plastic during production, it is weakened and sometimes even has very small holes already present. I care about the environment, but I'm not convinced that reducing plastic consumption will make a significant difference (having to double bag defeats the purpose). However, I believe the change is driven by profit. I'm dealing with soiled diapers, food splatters, and other heinous acts. I'm looking for bags that aren't prone to tearing! br>br>It's also aggravating because I had an Amazon 'Subscribe and Save' account set up for the previous version of this product (Hefty Odor Block Trash Bags, Lavender Scent, 90 count, here: Regrettably, Amazon switched my order to this 80-count tear-resistant version without my knowledge, ARG! THESE ARE NOT THE SAME PRODUCTS! Needless to say, I've canceled my subscription and switched to an off-brand that still uses the old-fashioned method of making plastic bags. a more traditional method.
In addition to the bag tearing where the drawstring is located, every single one of these bags that I've used has ripped open towards the middle or bottom.
br>br>1 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov They couldn't fit in a standard kitchen trash can because they were too small. It's the first time we've ever had a problem with ANY trash bag, much less Hefty.
2 - The ties are extremely frail and easily break. Even though we weren't using these for anything particularly heavy, just regular kitchen trash, the ties would break every time we went to take it out.
3 - The material is extremely thin and snag-prone. At least half of the bags we used (20) had snags or leaks, which is unusual for us, even when we use dollar store trash bags. br>br>Overall, I would not recommend or re-commend this product. We bought these bags and will switch back to Glad once this box is finished.
These are the best bags I've found that aren't too expensive; the next best bag is sold by a home improvement store, and half of the time the bags are defective, rendering them useless. These smell great and have a stretchy material that prevents oddly shaped items like OJ bottles and pizza boxes from ripping the bag. My only complaint is that these aren't available in black for kitchen use. Seriously, in this day and age of identity theft, where people can see if there's mail in the trash, let alone nosy neighbors, see-through trash bags are a must. Some people also have personal items they need to dispose of that they don't want to broadcast, and double bagging is still wasteful and bad for the environment. Please make more black bags.
I just added these to my subscription list. Save, I used these the first time I needed to replace bags and discovered that the bags were unsealed along the side and were unusable. I tried a few bags and found that they all had the same problems when they were unsealed and opened along the sides. This makes me angry. Getting in touch with Hefty directly.
Are you looking for a garbage bag that isn't going to leak? Isn't it supposed to be tearing? What about a garbage bag that smells good even when there are bad odors in the area? br>br>Large lavender-scented trash bags are fantastic! I was wondering if I'd ever be able to find a leak-proof garbage bag. Many companies claim that their bags are leak-proof, but they aren't. It's a major source of annoyance. Hefty, on the other hand, is a word that comes to mind when If I had to give this trash bag a perfect score, I would give it a ten out of ten. I would. br>br>This is a product that I've purchased several times. These were being used by a friend of mine for her used cat litter. I bought a box of 40 bags, then another box of 80 bags, and so on because the bags worked so well. br>br>The power bursts have an unpleasant odor, but the lavender ones are wonderful!.
I was ecstatic to receive these (in the sense that I was ecstatic to receive scented garbage bags in my mid-thirties). I thought it was a great idea that they were scented. We've been using these for about a year and plan to keep using them, but the smell can get a little overwhelming at times. For instance, if you've had a little too much to drink and wake up the next morning smelling like digiorno and beer garbage, and that smell mixes with the lavender- That's not so good. However, they are typically long-lasting and have a pleasant scent.
