Questions & Answers

How often do you use rinse aid?

We have a KitchenAid dishwasher, and the instructions say to use it every time because the dishes dry spotless, even without heat. Dishes are wet when the cycle is finished if the rinse aid is not used.

Will this product work in my area of Jacksonville, Florida, where the water is hard?

That's what I believe. When we lived in the country and had well water, I used it and it worked just as well as the soft water we now have. Everything is spotless, including my glasses and dishes, and everything is completely dry. I really like this product, and I hope this information is useful.

Have you ever had your glasses' designs wiped off? Is it because of the rinse aid or because of the cascade pods? In the past, I'd never used either. ?

That is something we have not encountered. Everything in our house, from fine china to wooden utensils and even the dog's chew toys, goes into the dishwasher. The only issues we've had are with unglazed cast iron (which should never be washed) and Tupperware (which should be washed at lower temperatures). We've tried nearly every product on the market and have settled on Cascade Platinum 16x pods and Finish Jet-X. Rinse aid, dry Turbo - This is a fantastic match.

Will running your dishwasher on the air dry setting (rather than the heat dry cycle) make a difference?

This is an excellent question, and we appreciate you posing it. No matter what drying setting you use, our Rinse Aid Platinum is designed to keep your dishes sparkling clean. Finish Jet vs
3/5

inferior product Dry! Cascade Complete Powder dishwasher detergent is one of my favorites. This Cascade Rinse Aid Platinum does not meet my expectations. I've been using Finish Jet for quite some time now. For the past ten years, I've been using Dry Rinse Aid. 100% satisfaction % I only changed to this Cascade rinse aid because it was less expensive. Our dishwasher's once-gleaming stainless steel interior became cloudy and streaked after I switched to this Cascade product. The switch from Finish to Cascade was immediately followed by the change. In terms of water, water temperature, detergent, load size, or cleanliness, almost nothing changed. As a result, we'll be returning to Finish. In this case, the old adage was true: What you pay for is exactly what you get.

Not only does it aid in rinsing, but it also aids in the reduction of calcium deposits
5/5

Not only is this a fantastic dishwasher rinse, but I also discovered something else useful when I first used it. br>br>I'm not sure if this applies to everyone, but calcium buildup was causing problems in my dishwasher. You can buy cleaners for this, but I've heard that this method also works. Some motors, usually the drain or washing pump, will not work properly, working intermittently or poorly as a result of the symptoms. br>br>I tried the products with the rinse already mixed in (tablets), but the problems persisted. br>br>I started using this, and the dishwasher was running smoothly within a month. Now I save money by using regular liquid detergent and refilling the rinse aid dispenser with this when it runs out. And based on what I used to fill the dispenser a couple of times, this appears to be a long-lasting product.

I didn't think I'd need to use drying agents like Finish or this Cascade when I bought my dishwasher, and it works just as well for almost half the price
5/5

However, when I used the small sample of Finish that came with the dishwasher, I quickly noticed that the utensils, cups, and plasticware came out dry rather than covered in water droplets. Now, Cascade was less expensive on Amazon than Finish, so I bought one. It's a big bottle that looks like it'll last a year, based on how long the small sample lasted. All of the utensils, cups, and plasticware were dry after my first use last night, just as they were when I was using Finish. There isn't much of a difference between the two in terms of performance. Because Cascade is nearly half the price of Cascade, I'll be using it from now on.

Housemates who have fewer splotchy dishes are happier
5/5

Take this with a grain of salt, but I'm not sure why I need this product, even though my new dishwasher says it's required and that not using it will void the warranty (according to the documentation). My dishes used to come out spotless when I only used the little dishwasher capsule things, but unless I use this, they come out covered in water spots on my new dishwasher. br>br>I suppose this works as advertised, but I'm not sure why I need it when my older dishwasher worked perfectly fine without it. Nonetheless, I'll keep buying it because it makes my dishes cleaner (less spotty) and my dishwasher "requires" it.

Cascade was the good stuff back in the day, and Finish was some cheap knockoff brand I'd tried - but it works and it's a good price
5/5

It was enough once. Finish has reportedly improved their game, but I'm content to stick with a brand that has served me well for decades. br>br>The Cascade Platinum detergent was the best I'd ever used, but I've switched to Sams Club pods now. Most items come out clean and spot free most of the time when used with this rinse aid and a Sanitizing (higher temperature) wash cycle. (Yes, I usually rinse everything off before loading. ) heated drying cycle in a Samsung machine with a very quiet stainless interior. )br>br>As well as the light and pleasant aroma.

Years ago, I used a competitor's rinse aid as well as dishwasher detergent
5/5

Then I switched to Cascade Platinum Plus detergent, which is only available on Amazon, and I fell in love with it. So, after much deliberation, I decided to purchase the Cascade Rinse Aid. Man, what have I been waiting for? The two are as different as night and day. This is a fantastic product, and the price of around $7 for over 300 loads is unbeatable. This rinse aid is the best, so don't hesitate to get it.

There was no discernible change
3/5

After running the dishwasher, I decided to give this a shot in the hopes of getting clearer glasses with less scum/residue. I'm about halfway through the bottle and haven't noticed any changes in the dishes. In addition, pouring the bottle into the dispenser without spilling it is impossible. A small nozzle or another type of lid is required. I won't be purchasing anything else in the future.

Amazed
5/5

Despite the fact that it was still an add-on item, this was the best price I could find for it. Despite the fact that I had never really understood the purpose of a rinseaid, I decided to buy it because of the low price and positive reviews. Even on the dry cycle, our dishwasher had recently failed to dry effectively. I'd always open the dishwasher and let it air out for over an hour so that all of the dishes would dry and I wouldn't have to spend extra time hand drying each item. The rinse aid appears to have significantly aided in drying dishes and completely avoiding water spots on the first use. I opened the dishwasher as soon as the cycle was finished, and everything was completely dry and clean! In our house, this is a huge time saver, and I'll never be without it again!.
