Unlike compostable materials, they are not biodegradable. It was recycled plastic on the scrubbers on the sponges. As a result, the print on the package shows that. This contrasts with the photo they show for the package.
I do not recommend this product if you are concerned with plastics. Plastic is used to make the scrubber part of the scrubber. To ensure the scrubbing material is held together, a small amount of recycled plastic is used as a binder for the walnut scrubber. Additionally, walnuts release a natural compound that can degrade the nutrients in a compost pile, so we do not recommend composting them.
I did not receive a plastic bag with mine.
Clearly it is not eco friendly even though it is supposed to!

I checked them in my husband's lab with an FTIR machine. The top part of the walnut shell is made of The price of any other synthetic scrubber is a fraction of what you will pay.

When cleaning our pots and pans, it does a better job than average of removing some food particles, but it does not handle deeply crusted food effectively Here are some interesting facts about But the really intriguing part is that while this product is advertised on this platform as being made only from walnut shells, on the company's website it reveals that it is made also from plastic, even recycled plastic. The reason it can't be composted is because it contains synthetic materials. I am disappointed to see that there is no full disclosure of the material used in the product across all selling websites. The environment Customer who are conscious of their behavior should avoid this store.

On the parts of my juicer, I particularly appreciate how clean they are. In a strainer, they seem to be very successful - The gear you need for the kitchen is difficult to find. Furthermore, they handle pots perfectly. I am also very impressed that they are (allegedly) compostable, and that they are not Report back when I have tossed the compost into the pile. I can't understand. As promised, I am reporting back. The scrubbers attached to this email have been buried in a compost pile for several months and finally came to life as you can see in the photograph. In any way, they don't seem to be degrading. My next step was to check out the company's website and discovered that the scrubbers include plastic along with walnut shells. In addition, I read the questions and answers The ad in this place, to my mind, is really In summary, these are great scrubbers, but I have no idea whether they are more or less environmentally friendly than the typical supermarket brand. There is no way to compost that.

When costco has a deal, I usually purchase sponges from them. A sample walnut scrubber sponge was sent to me one day by the Grove Collective, and at first, I Nevertheless, it lasted for years, held soap superbly, and cleaned with both vigorous and gentle power. There is a noticeable difference between the quality of these and the ones I had from Grove. There is a definite difference between these and the thinner, thinner ones. They're wearing out too fast. In addition, they are not very good at retaining soap. Here are the items I returned. If you ask me about walnut sponges, I would say that they are not a commodity, and the place you buy your sponge will do a lot to determine whether or not you are satisfied. A quick note. As well as the plastic/agave sponges, we tested the scotch half and half sponges The walnut scrubbers were better still than these, but still two steps below the sponges made from grove walnuts.

It will not be as clear from the picture, but the scrubber is made from plastic tinted brown (with walnuts perhaps?). A difference in description between our photo and the one on Amazon is visible when viewing our photo.

The eco-friendly nature of these products makes it so appealing to use them. This is what I have been using for several years, even my glasses don't get scratched when I use these. Despite that, they don't last very long since they're made of cheap materials. It is fine if you want something which will last a long time, but if you want something for a shorter period, these will not do. There are times when I have to use a rougher pad on a pan, but it's not a frequent thing. With soap, I use these to wash my dishes after cutting them in half. The silicone is so soft that I have even used them as a body scrubber.

I think this is one of the BEST sponges I've ever used. Despite their delicate nature, the walnut shells are strong and biodegradable, as well as being gentle and biodegradable. It is the biggest step for the well-being of our planet (and for the health of all of us) considering how common this product is that we regularly use it throughout our life. Amazon has also made them far more affordable so more people can have access to them! You don't need to use green sponges when you can use these.

The quest for zero waste is getting easier.
