Questions & Answers
In addition to the speakers around the unit, the unit also features improved sound quality, high-quality images, and better pictures.
The answer is no. I'm sorry. There is nothing moving about the images.
In fact, this unit will run continuously all night or after 15, 30 or 60 minutes, you can use the auto-off timer to shut it off.
Sadly, I fail to take into consideration that a projection that moves may actually keep the child awake for a longer period rather than helping them go to sleep, if that is the primary purpose for which you intend it.

Initially, I was quite excited that our need for a new model coincided with the arrival of this new model, but as soon as I got it home, I realized that it wasn't the same device I've grown to appreciate over the years. In the previous version, the image was projected onto a ceiling or wall using a rotating disk that could be adjusted/angled. However, the motor for moving the disk gets wonky after several weeks or months (as I experienced), and HoMedics appears to have removed this feature to combat this. They have instead designed their new design so that 3 sets of alternating images are projected at 4 different locations on the wall (you may select different 3 themes = 9 total images). The motor will not burn out, and it will stay cool The angle at which the image was projected could still be adjusted, but the ability to do so was removed. In order to create this angle, some comical arrangement of books were placed under it to tilt the device to create this funny It's impossible to select a volume between "moderate" and "off" due to this issue as well as the fact that the sound volume is now digital (the older model had a dial). For me, it did not work that way The item was returned to the retailer. I would recommend either their older model (which is simple and effective), or, if you want something a little more fancy, Project Nursery (which, by the way, uses the same types of disks as their old model).
The old version of this product is available when the new version is available, so if you're considering it, spend the few extra dollars and shop for it then. This new version of the product is horribly poor in quality. I own both versions, and the changes they have made to the new one lessen the overall quality of the product. I don't like the fact that there is no on/off switch. To turn off each sound, you have to click through it. Speaking of the sound, it is of poor quality. The new version is not nearly as loud, and the ocean sounds are more static than anything similar to the old version. The product I received is so disappointing but as a mom of three, I do not have the My toddler is already used to the older version so he will keep the older one, so I expect my baby will not mind the poor sound quality.
This is a very tedious process to get to the one you want because you have to go through each sound. Heartbeat is one of the sounds we like, so I scroll through 5 other sounds to get there, rather than clicking on it directly. In addition, the projector isn't moveable like the old one, which I find bothersome because it will be near the crib with the cord and he won't be able to Unfortunately, I had to buy this!.
I would rate this as good overall. The previous version was better for me however This is *br1. One of these has a light attached to Is it for some reason that there is no way to turn off the light on a sound machine? . The sound quality is better on this model than on the previous model. I'm afraid my baby will be scared by the projections. Despite her love for the other one, she still loved him. It was easier to relax when looking at the images. There is too much intensity in these new ones. My heart pounded when I saw the octopus! The fourth item This is frustrating because it has to be turned on and off. Rather than just a switch, why not just turn it on?.
There is no such thing as this version. Taking away the power switch was a bad idea! There's no way this could be true. The only way you can turn this unit off is by scrolling through all the sounds. There is nothing more annoying than that. Another annoying aspect is having to scroll through all of the sounds to find the one you're looking for. In addition to that, the projection function was also changed As of now, you cannot move the projector to place it in the exact desired location (I used to be able to shine my previous one on the ceiling, wall, and above the crib). As of now, the version you have can only point straight up, and it cannot be moved. In order to put it on the ceiling above the baby's crib, you must put it in the crib with the baby. There is something ridiculous about this. My only reason for giving it 3 stars was because of the clear and soothing sounds.
If you want to turn off the sound, you must cycle through all sounds, including the music as well. I find this very There is a terrible clicking pattern to the rain sound, almost as if water was being tortured. An improvement is that the different projections are embedded instead of being stored on discs, so there is no need to swap out discs. It would be nice if there were scrolling scenes in the projection sets, instead of only 3 images per projection. It is also not possible to tilt the projector like you could on the old version, which was helpful for hiding the brightness on the wall or finding a place to place it against the wall. I love the old one, but the new one is much better. I might like it more if I didn't have the old one to compare to,.
However, there are some inconsistencies in the older version of this app which I love. The only thing I would change is this Please note - The sound does not have an on/off switch. Instead, you have to press through all the other sounds to turn it Please note - My personal opinion is that the new sounds are less appealing than the old ones. Rain was my favorite, but this one is incredibly high pitched, so babies should stay away from it. Please note - Although it doesn't rotate the pictures, it does it through a series of different images. It might have been okay for me if I never had the old version.
If I had never had the old version, the machine may have been okay.
The pros are I like the small unit and the projection pictures that they show you Specifically, she likes how the volume can be adjusted to her preference at any time.
Cons In total, there are three sets of images to project (ocean, farm, night sky), each set with only three images, so my daughter only pays attention after about the third rotation of the images. Changing the projection is not possible. The bit of the picture that doesn't show on the wall is blocked by a little chair next to my daughter's bed. In order for the projection to appear right side up on the ceiling, the unit has to be turned 180 degrees. It puts the buttons on the back therefore making it difficult to remove from the front.
Overall, I would not recommend it.
