Questions & Answers
Hello, Michelle from Marpac, the official answer is that the Hushh has a few baby-specific features that the Rohm does not, and the two items are both new and released this spring. The Hushh feature prevents baby from turning up the volume and potentially injuring his or her ears. In comparison to the Rohm, the Hushh has a night light. The Hushh also has a clip that can be attached to strollers, carseats, and other similar items, whereas the Rohm has a lanyard, which could be a choking hazard on a "baby" item. I would not recommend this as a sound machine for a nursery.br>We used ours as a travel-friendly sound machine. only (airplane, hotel, grandparents' house, etc.) sound machine, which we carried in our diaper bag for about 9 months. That's what it's for! We've been using it as our second baby's sound machine for the past six months. It's no longer alive. That's not what the battery was designed for.
It is charged using a mini-USB cable. It has a USB end, so it can be charged with any USB charger, including those found in cars. br>As long as you have a plug adapter, why not?
Please check to see if your Hushh has been locked if you haven't already done so. The indicator light should blink three times if you press the power and select buttons simultaneously for a few seconds. Check to see if you can adjust the volume up and down. If this does not resolve the problem, please email us at [email protected]. Please contact us at www.com for more information.
Selected User Reviews For Yogasleep Hushh Portable White Noise Machine for Baby | 3 Soothing, Natural Sounds with Volume Control | Compact for On-the-Go Use & Travel | USB Rechargeable | Baby-Safe Clip & Child Lock
The sound quality is incredible, the volume levels are fantastic, and the overall compact/portable functionality was exactly what I needed for my baby. Unfortunately, after two weeks, it simply stopped working (even when fully charged and plugged in!). When you turned up the volume, it would turn off on its own. My wife and I were so disappointed because we had finally discovered a noise machine that both our baby and we enjoyed! What a pity. I'm hoping it's just a defect on the part of the manufacturer!.
This is, without a doubt, the best sound system available. Having said that, I've gone through seven of these, including both the hushh and Rohm models. The main differences are as follows: br>br> br>br>Shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh, shh br>Greybr>Has a lock feature to prevent changing settings, which is great for kidsbr>Has a light feature that I find difficult to use but that is nice as a nightlight when it works! Rohm: br>br>Rohm: br>br>Rohm: br>br>R br>Whitebr>br>I've noticed that some are louder than others, but they're all suitable for use by adults, children, and babies. br>br> I'm a mother of three, with a fourth on the way. As a professional sleep trainer, I worked with babies for several years. For me, White Noise is a must-have. In the last six years, I've tried at least ten different white noise machines. This product is unique in that it can be plugged in but also has a 12-hour battery life, which is useful in the event that it is accidentally unplugged by toddlers or if our power goes out. I can't tell you how many times the kids have woken up when the power went out in the middle of the night and the plugged-in white noise machines went off. It's also the perfect size and weight, and I can hang it from a stroller or car seat handle with ease. The only reason I can't give it five stars is that I've had to return or replace three of them. As soon as I received it, charged it, and plugged it in, it would only stay on for a couple of seconds. Another was missing the charging port, which I believe broke off during shipment and was jiggling around inside, and the other basically died after a week, with the power button becoming jiggly and unusable. br>br>Having said that, this is still the best white noise machine on the market. It comes with three settings and can be quite loud. It's small and light, with a 12-hour battery life and the ability to be plugged in. The cost is also reasonable. br>br> I firmly believe in this product, and thankfully, Amazon returns are simple to process, allowing me to replace any defective items. However, I believe I will continue to use these for a long time!.
All of these glowing reviews appear to be from people who have only had the sound machine for a month or so. I've gone through three of these and they've all given up the ghost. The first one was fantastic, and I was in love with it until it broke down four months later. After less than a month, the second one I received stopped working. I'm not sure why I got a third, but it only worked for ONE DAY. So, yeah, I'm done with this machine and will be on the lookout for a higher-quality replacement.
When the sound machine is turned off, it makes a strange noise. I bought two of these, and one of them will not turn off, while the other will not turn on. I anticipate a life expectancy of more than 5 months for these items. I've been on and off with Amazon Chat for a few hours, but no one answers when they try to connect with Marpac customer support, so I've been unable to get any sort of response from the manufacturer, forcing me to give an absolute 1 star review.
For $29, it was purchased. In September of 2016, we celebrated the birth of our first child, who was 99 years old at the time. After two weeks of use, the sounds began to malfunction and freak out. We ordered a replacement and have had no problems since. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> For almost three years, I've been using it every night for 12 hours, plus 2 hours for nap/quiet time, both plugged in and on a charge. It's still my favorite!.
com. I did a video review on Youtube for both the hushh and dohm machines. I go over the different sounds, how loud it gets, and so on. If you're deciding between this and the Dohm white noise machine, this one gets louder than the Dohm machine. br>br>I love that I don't have to worry about batteries! We can charge it in our car, on our laptop, or anywhere else. It can be very loud when you need it to be, and it can also be very soft and low when you need it to be. We're expecting our third child, and we've been using white noise since our oldest daughter, who is now five, was a baby. This small portable machine has a big punch and can put your baby to sleep in minutes. For us, it's even seconds! br>br>Because newborns are so used to being in the womb, it helps to continue that transition on the outside, and we also use it with our older girls (ages 5 and up). 2 to keep any nosy people out of their way. We live in a small apartment, so we don't want the creaking of the door, the flushing of the toilet, or the opening of the cabinet door to startle them awake. That, and a lot more, is made possible by this machine! br>br>It's a must-have!.
The sound quality is excellent, and the volume range is extensive. I really like how small, portable, and rechargeable it is. Other portable sound machines are available, but most of them require batteries, which I did not want to deal with. The charging cable is of adequate length, and I appreciate the fact that it is USB. Be careful not to snap the clip that comes with it because it is made of plastic. When I play white noise for my daughter, she immediately relaxes, and I like to sleep with it on to block out any background noises (otherwise, I'd be awake all night listening to every little bump). It's pricier than others, but it's still reasonable in my opinion, and it's almost certainly of higher quality. Plus, there's no need to change the batteries!.
