When I first opened it, it had a distinct odor. I have a high sensitivity to smells. So I hand-washed the sweater in natural laundry soap and hung it to dry, and I used Dr Bronners to wash the outside of the rubber bottle. I could still detect the tiniest whiff of odor. By the second time I used it, it was completely gone. It really appeals to me. And I'm a raging olfactory freak. Simply wash it thoroughly and thoroughly dry it before using it for the first time. This is a must-have for anyone who despises being cold.
Although the bottle warns against using boiling water, it appears that others have used near-boiling water from the kettle. However, because of the warning, I'm a little sceptical!
This water bottle holds sixty-four ounces when fully filled. a quarter pound It should be noted that this amount will make the bottle bulky and may prevent it from serving its intended purpose. I'm using mine to heat a foster kitten's pet bed and don't want it to bulge. It's half-full when I fill it. I'd also like to point out that the bottle is about seven and a half inches tall, including the neck. It measures half an inch wide by ten and a half inches long. To line the bottom of the pet bed, I'll need two. I haven't been able to locate the larger water bottles that I used to have. In terms of heat retention, this product performs admirably. It's just that I'd prefer it to be a little bigger.
I just placed an order for it after reading reviews from people who have microwaved it successfully. My 21- Hundreds of times in under 3 minutes, an old rubber British bottle has been microwaved. If the container is half-filled, set the temperature to high. It is suggested that you start with less time and work your way up if necessary. The top of the plastic screw is fraying; That's why I went on the hunt for a microwave-safe substitute. br> Reading reviews from people who microwaved to save water was very helpful.

So, when my back pain began in early September, I bought this item (green bottle not shown) all at once. On the second use, it busted at the bottom of the bag. I reordered, and after 9 weeks of use, the connector piece on the second blue bottle had busted. So I reorder because the second one saved my life because my lower back has been pinching for the past 28 weeks. I got the third bottle on Wednesday, November 21st, 2018 and it's blue, just like the first two. When I fill it with water, it bursts (at the bottom, where the first green one burst) and my fingers were burned by boiling water! Amazon stated that there is nothing they can do and that the items will not be refunded. This item is not something I would recommend! Be safe!.
I'm content with myself. *THREE ADDITIONAL UPDATE* My purchase has been a pleasant experience for me. It took a few hours of searching through various options for me to find what I was looking for. This is the one I've decided to go with. My primary motivation was to have a warm place to sleep. To provide context: br>br> My home isn't well insulated. Heat should be avoided at all costs. Because of the house's drafts, it would be in vain. it would be prohibitively expensive I'm in the New England region of the United States. In the dead of winter, temperatures can easily drop to the teens or lower (*F). Temperatures in the house are in the upper 20s F. On colder nights, I use space heaters to heat two areas of the plumbing. br>br>To rate the product: Some customers complained about the product's rubber or chemical odor, and I agree that it has a strong rubbery odor when first unpacked. I washed the water bottle inside and out to help reduce the odor. Dishsoap is no longer needed. I used the hottest water I could stand for a few minutes, and it significantly improved the problem. In the past, I've used different water bottles. No matter what brand, there was always some kind of rubbery odor, so a slight odor (only when held up to the nose) was not a big deal. br>Another issue I came across was the water bottle's construction and durability. So far, I believe it is well-made. It's similar to the thick silicone material used in cookware, but it's a little glossier. Due to its sheen, it appears to be easier to clean. As in, filth wouldn't cling to it nearly as much. In this case, only time will tell. br>br>I've only used it overnight a couple of times to help keep me warm while sleeping up until now. There have been no leaks, and it appears to keep me warm for at least 4 to 5 hours. While sleeping, it's difficult to stay on track. I only filled it with the hottest water from my tap each time because I wanted to try something new. In the near future, time the length of warmth it provides to provide a more accurate and current review. I'm going to put both of the hottest taps to the test. Then, using slightly cooled boiled water from the stovetop, do it all over again. br>br>At the moment, I would suggest this water bottle. So far, I've bought two (one for my daughter and the other for myself). I also wanted to see how bulky this product is under my coat while working outside in the polar vortex, and if it's even worth it. Last night, I slept with the bottle to keep warm. br>br>Because the temperature outside only dropped to the teens (°F), my indoor temperature didn't fall too low. At 11: My room temperature was 53°F (12°C) when I began counting at 00p. I used the hottest tap water from the sink to fill up 3/4 of the water bottle. 1/4 of the mixture was heated in the microwave (in a cup) until it was just about to boil. As a result, a total of 60 ounces were used. & It was barely boiled in 15 ounces. This warmth lasted until around 5 a. m. , when the indoor temperature dropped to 49 degrees Fahrenheit (9 degrees Celsius), but it was still warmer to the touch than my body. br> No leaks so far, with the cap screwed on slightly tighter than finger tight but not quite as tight as wrist tight (mechanics would know). I usually sleep on my side, but when I first started, I slept on my back with the bottle positioned in the middle of my torso, warming my hands. I was on my side at some point during the night, cradling the bottle near my stomach, almost as if it were a child (in terms of the amount of pressure on the bottle). This is just to give you an idea of the amount of pressure I'm applying to the bottle. As I previously stated, there are no leaks at all. I hope this has been of assistance. br>I'm hoping to provide another update on durability in the near future. It hasn't been cold enough here this year since I bought this, so I'm using it for warmth while wearing it outside for work. ***UPDATE*** 6- ***UPDATE*** ***UPDATE*** ***UPDATE*** ***UPDATE*** ***UPDATE*** 17br>With the current weather, it's essentially summertime. It was over 80 degrees Fahrenheit last night, making it difficult to sleep. This is the third time I've used the water bottle to keep me cool throughout the night, though the first time I was able to time how long the bottle stayed cold. It was still cold at 8 a. m. after I took it out of the freezer at 12 a. m. 30am. It was still cooling me down even though it had completely thawed. As I type this, there is still condensation on it. (Refer to the most recent image. ) )br>br>How did I apply this to my situation? Before corking the water bottle, I filled it 2/3 or slightly more than halfway and compressed it just enough to get the air out. This allows for expansion while the bottle is frozen, hopefully extending the bottle's life or preventing it from bursting. When I put it in the freezer, I lay it flat on an incline with the water line just below the neck. This is to prevent the cork (screw top) from being damaged by the freezing water. The condensation is the only disadvantage of using the bottle for cooling while sleeping. This isn't a big deal for me because my sheets and bed aren't soaked; they're just damp and easily dried. From the heat, it takes about an hour or two to dry. What am I supposed to do with it? br>br>How do I put it to use? I sleep on top of it to keep it cool, keeping it close to my chest and stomach. This is how I usually sleep, whether I'm on my stomach or on my side. This bottle is AMAZING! I'm even happier with this purchase, and I'll probably pick up a third so I can rotate bottles.
It's a lovely blue color. It is not prone to leaking. However, it does not appear to allow for efficient heat transfer. NOTE: This company contacted me recently and offered to refund half of my purchase price if I removed my review or increased their star rating. That was not a pleasant experience. I haven't changed the rating because the product is deserving of it.
The product and its quality are both terrible. Although the advertisement says "Attmu Classic Rubber Transparent Hot Water Bottle 2 Liter with Knit Cover," the bottle is not 2 liters. It only holds 1300 ml, or slightly more than one liter, according to my measurements.
It's lovely, clear, and reasonably priced. I thought I could save money by purchasing this instead of an expensive German brand because I use hot water bottles on a daily basis. Unfortunately, this one has leaked on several occasions, though not always, and I'm not sure why because I always double-check that the stopper is securely fastened. I've spent a lot of money on hot water bottles in the past, and they've always lasted for years without leaking.
When I added hot water for the first time, it tore from the bottom and became warped. It was a waste of money.
This is far more appealing than my old red rubber bottle, but it appears that the material prevents heat transfer. It'd be ideal for a heat barrier under hot items, but it'd be awful for a hot water bottle. To get any benefit from it, I believe I would have to fill it with boiling water, which would be extremely dangerous. You will not feel any warmth if you use the sweater cover.
This is one of my favorite purchases in a long time because it's well-made, keeps the heat all night (and is still warm in the morning), and has a wide mouth for easy pouring, which is especially useful if you're filling it with a tea kettle. Plus, unlike my previous hot water bottle, the lips around the mouth do not collapse in on themselves. When it's emptied, instead of the sides sticking together and making it difficult for the water to drain completely, this one opens up and the water drains quickly without the need to be hung. br>br>The problem I had with a cat burglar is the only negative experience I've had with this hot water bottle. That is to say, whenever my cat sees me take out the hot water bottle to fill it, she keeps a close eye on me. And as soon as I tuck it under the covers, she leaps onto the bed, lies down on the hot water bottle, and stares at me, daring me to move her. I'm beginning to believe that I should have purchased two. One is for me, and the other is for her.
