Questions & Answers

In what size are each of the patches?

Sadly, I do not have a pocket size here with me, but I am guessing it is about 4 x 6. This is a good-sized piece. There is no doubt that it is larger than a salonpas. With this patch, we are pleased with its performance. The incident, which caused him to break nine ribs, the clavicle, the scapula, and puncture a lung, is still ongoing and causing him constant pain. When he has already taken his cocktail of opiates and they aren't enough to deal with the pain, these take the edge off. They will be a hit with you, I am sure. You can solve the problem of them rolling around if you are active by adhering them with medical tape. The effort is well worth it!

What are the chances that these patches will ruin if I cut them into smaller pieces?

You should cut the patch into smaller sizes and leave on the backing to protect the patches until you are ready to use them.

What is the skin adherent quality of the product? If you wear them under clothing, some patches might come off?

In addition to my lower back, the blisters have stuck to my shoulder and elbow for a total of 12 hours. There is no doubt that you will need to readjust the patch when you remove your clothing.

What is the number of boxes in one?

In a box there are 5 items. For many months, my wife has been using them with success to reduce back pain, causing her to replace them every two days.

Selected User Reviews For Aspercreme Max Strength Lidocaine Pain Relief Patch (5 Count) for Back Pain, Odor Free Pain Patches

Invest your time and money in the right In almost every case, they work better than prescription drugs There is only a strength variety (by virtue of the fact that they are 80% of the prescription dose)
4/5

In the event that you tried them and didn't think they worked, you probably applied them to the wrong part of When it comes to topical pain relief, the rule of thumb is to apply the anesthetic "between the pain and the brain. " A patch needs to be placed close to the spinal cord so it interferes with the pain signals before they reach the cord.

To determine the best location, use your favorite online search engine and type DERMATOME CHART in the search box. Anatomical drawings striped with alphanumeric symbols will show up under the search results Each segment is a coded segment (C, Their purpose is to point out the spinal nerves that are involved in transmitting pain signals from certain parts It is likely that you have seen charts such as these in a chiropractor's office.

Download the drawing(s) of your choice and study them carefully to determine where the lidocaine patch should be placed. It is possible that you suffer from shoulder joint pain, but if you apply the patch on top of the joint, you might not receive relief since the patch is anesthetizing the wrong nerves (in this case, the You can apply the patch in the axillary region (in or just below the armpit) to relieve pain, where you will have access to thoracic nerves. As with any flexible, sticky product, these patches can be hard to handle without crumpling, but this is just the nature of the beast. They are thinner than the prescription variety, but that can work to their advantage when it comes to shaping around folds in the skin. If the patch is too large, one can cut it in half to better fit (a patch that is too big comes off more easily). To ensure adherence to the patch, the skin should be clean and dry before applying the patch, but no topical drug delivery system will stand up to sweating or friction (clothes or bed linens), so you may want to cut corners into curves or tape down edges.

It was a great pain reliever*
5/5

There is nothing negative about this pain patch - I don't understand the negative reviews. The desk job I have involves sitting for 8+ hours at a time. I have back pain as a result. Taking ibuprofen/Tylenol all day long leads to me creating an ulcer in my stomach, so this patch keeps that from happening. I'm happy to report that the patches do stay on! Put them on right and you'll be able to see If you want to place it properly, you'll need a mirror Keep your guesses to yourself! In the hands of someone who is uncareful, the patches can stick together, causing the repair to fall out. For about eight hours, it numbs the pain and keeps me from experiencing any discomfort. I can tell when it starts to wear off because I can feel my muscles twitch. You can simply remove the old one and replace it with a new one! Fixable in just a few minutes. Aspercreme is a great product!.

I was able to reduce my chronic pain by at least 50% thanks to this product
5/5

As a result of neurological incurable disease, I experience severe chronic pain. An intense pain, stabbing sometimes, sometimes dull and deep, is sometimes felt. Hospitalization once in a while involves the administration of Lidocaine via IV (for 6 hours) and since the dosage is 15 times greater than patches, it is very effective. It seemed like a good idea to try the Lidocaine 4% patches. My pain is concentrated in the spine from C to S. Despite the fact that they are less than 4%, they are very effective. There is low back pain as well as upper back pain. The pain is worse in the back, the chest, the arms, the neck, and the shoulders. Using these patches, you can reduce chronic pain by up to 50%, and this is quite a bit! There is no guarantee they will completely eliminate your pain. But they might do some good with reducing it. It is possible that they can be more effective than morphine injections because the patches can last up to 12 hours. The pros are Reducing my pain by up to 50%* Easy to use* Available as an over the counter medication The drug is nonprescription
it lasts up to 12 hours
it is not addictive
, it is safe for use The IV infusion of Lidocaine might cause heart problems*but it is safer than all other chronic pain drugs (Lirica, Gabapentin, etc. ). The tiles do not adhere well to surfaces - too costly to use daily Strengthen them* and keep them together, they are more effective when you keep them together.

A good cheap alternative, but there are more effective ones as well
3/5

The pros are ** B - This is a bit cheaper than Salon Pas, and somewhat bigger (maybe half an inch on each side)*br/ The pads cost much less than prescription pads - This was a good relief for me over time- don't expect to put it on and have your pain disappear immediately While the patch takes awhile to work, it isn't that effective. ** B - Unlike a prescription patch or a Salon Pas, these patches do not stay effective for the same amount of time as these patches. Generally, I would say max effect lasts between 2-3 minutes There is a peak after 6 hours, then a drop off. The construction is thin and unsteady. Its adhesive is not as sticky or as thin as the Salon Pas patch or the prescription patch. This product is not for use when active, unless you like to have to smooth it over constantly to get it to stick. Please note There seems to be a wide range of effectiveness among individuals. A Lidocaine patch can provide relief for some users, while it may not for others. people who claim that they have not found relief have not realized that they had to take awhile to become effective, but that is just conjecture on my part. It is possible to make a back problem worse if one numbs the area and then sleeps in an awkward position or performs heavy work while the patch is worn. Ultimately, for this reviewer, the Salon Pas lidocaine patch provides better value because it stays on longer and lasts longer than the typical skin patch.

This is actually a Zero Star rating
3/5

I was confident that the place I chose to order these from was the right one based on the reviews. There are three boxes that I purchased. First the patch wasn't sticking and then it came off. believed it was a fluke, so I tried it a second time, ensuring that the piece was securely attached to an area that was clean. In less than a minute, it fell off. The rave reviews don't seem to apply to me? It would have been wonderful if the web site had worked. As a result of my frustration, Amazon refunded me. I'd like to thank Amazon for providing me with such a great service!.

Rather than taking pills, you can avoid it
5/5

In the past they could only be purchased by prescription, but since the FDA they can now be bought over the counter. I'm amazed at how wonderful they are! There are a lot of different areas of pain in my body because of arthritis, fibro, and nerve damage from surgery. They are helpful for my feet and for pain in my upper arm. As long as you cut them small and use a Tegaderm Transparent Dressing to hold them on, they won't stay on your hands very well. I liked the way they cut. Whenever I have foot pain, I use half of the medicine on each foot. They are wonderful when I need them, and I order three boxes at a time to have some on hand. I do not use them all the time, but whenever I do, I can rely on them. Rather than taking pills, you can avoid it.
