Product Description

The thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) material and PVC plastic for this adult airway manikin are injected into a stainless steel pattern die under high temperature under an injection molding machine. A firm and durable material, after cleaning no deformation was noticed.
Intubation Manikin Adult - The adult intubation manikin is designed according to the anatomical layout of the human body with the identical color of skin, realistic look, and realistic appearance of a real human being. Having a movable chin and cervical spine gives you hands-on experience when operating.
When the intubation is done correctly, the lungs will expand with a light display and music, while the stomach will inflate with alarms and lights if the tube is inserted into the esophagus incorrectly. As well as the light warning, there is a warning with compressed teeth.
In addition to having one side open, the airway manikin has another side that is completely closed. View of the exposed section shows the anatomy of the trachea and nasal cavity, as well as activity in the cervical spine. Additionally, direct observation can be made of the process of tracheal intubation.
As a tracheal intubation model, it is primarily used in teaching adult asphyxia recovery instruction in order to instruct and train students. Various institutions including universities, hospitals, laboratories, research centers, etc. must have it in their facilities.

Questions & Answers

Would it be possible to use an endotracheal tube number 9 in this case?

An airway that is too small is not acceptable

Is it possible to use OPAs in this product?

What do you mean by the oropharyngeal The question is a good one. Although I am not 100% sure, I think so. My oral airway is in addition to my ETT, so the next time I intubate I'll use my OPA as well.

Are you able to use this product in a 110V outlet?

In short, yes.

The manikin is very stiff, and requires a little initial bending to get it working
3/5

Overall, it is a good game, but there are quality issues. I find it amusing that there is just one pin - The pupil has one point and one blown out Discussions with students are better when this is the case. I then started trying out ways to solve the "weird airway issue" we have been experiencing since receiving the manikin today. It turns out that the system has several holes in it. One is located in the oropharynx and is preventing LVM ventilation from expanding the lungs (direct flow exit from the oropharynx means that no air flow down the trachea is possible). It was by trial and error that I discovered this Through trial and error, we realized that when the ET tube was inflated, the lungs inflated (sort of, we'll get to that in a minute) but not when the ET tube was I'm not sure how I'm going to fix this, but now that I know which problem it is, I can at least begin As a result of the holes in the lungs, the lungs never inflate. The holes are there, you are right. There are several pin-holes between the stamping / attachment discs that seem to indicate that they weren't properly separated during manufacturing Point to the lungs as they have holes in them. We tried inflating them again with the ET tube and now they both do, and hold pressure until exhalation is allowed. I used some sticky sticky tape to cover them and now they do inflate. *In short, this is a decent airway manikin, but it has a few issues that need troubleshooting.

There is only a 220V adapter included, and it is Despite the fact that the manufacturer says it works with 110V, you actually get 220V with the product
3/5

To make it work, I had to use my own 110V to 5V supply. You can check the correct insertion by using a special ET tube that comes with the device. As for the durability, I am not sure how long that will last. I will have to find out if I can make one of the special rings with a metal ring in there so it can be replaced when worn out. work, but I would prefer to use what I have used.

It does not contain cartilage from the thyroid or the larynx
3/5

In the beginning, I was really excited about this product, but then I notice three things that made me return it. There are three components to the procedure 1) The instructions, 2) The power supply, and 3) The larynx. These were poorly written and did not follow English grammar rules, making them unable to be used in any project or product. In the markings on the head, it said that the power supply was 9V, but the supply was 5V. Even though I thought my device was working, I'm not sure how long it would hold up without a match. 2) I am unable to teach intubation since I lack larynx and thyroid cartilage, so I do not have a way to manipulate the airway externally (BURP). Initially, I thought I would add this to the system by adding DIY materials, but I decided just to return it. That's too bad. hoped for the best, but they turned out to be false.

I am glad I spent the money
5/5

That's a great product. I can really see it being useful for a lot of people. While the version will differ from the one in school, the technique remains We are very pleased with the voice recordings of feedback. It made good sense to spend the money since it would prevent me from quitting or failing out of I did not need a converter because I was provided a US plug. Despite being light, I put a towel on the kitchen counter and a can of beans on either side of his neck to keep Having been upbraided by the instructor for not knowing something else, practicing intubation in the classroom was going to be difficult. Not to mention the fact that there were too many students for the equipment, and those who monopolized it judged the others when they got Can hazing in medical programs and hospitals really be ended anytime soon?.

After many procedures, the manikin became very user-friendly after it was shipped on time
4/5

The manikin was a bit stiff to work with initially, but it has since become very user-friendly. As electrical outlets here in the USA are limited, it is highly unlikely that we will use the computer or electronic portion of the manikin, but the unit itself was well worth the cost.

You will need an adapter for this device
5/5

Manikins of this type are very reasonably priced, which makes them great for training. Please note that it comes with the wrong voltage plug and you'll need a conversion kit (Bestek) to use it in the U. S. There are voltages in the electric grid.

The purpose of this service is to serve me
4/5

Delivery in a timely manner. However, I never was able to get the electronic component of the device working, but it worked just fine for me. I find it more comfortable to move my hands in the intubation process.
