The only time I have ever used hydrocortisone was when I had a mosquito bite, I quickly applied balm or cream from Benadryl and no more itch. Hives and inflammation can also be treated with Benadryl tablets.

The answer is yes. The itch from bites is really stopped with this cream.

Diphenhydramine HCl (benedryl) is present in 10% of the 1% cream, while the 2% cream contains 2% Diphenhydramine HCl. When I have an energetic reaction to my skin, this strength is preferred.
