Selected User Reviews For Mack's AquaBlock Swimming Earplugs - Comfortable, Waterproof, Reusable Silicone Ear Plugs for Swimming, Snorkeling, Showering, Surfing and Bathing
Despite swimming at the local YMCA for many years, I have been having tremendous difficulties with my ears in the past two years. Initially, I used foam ear plugs, but it soon became clear that they did not offer any benefit. After some research on Amazon, I ordered Mack's Soft Flanged Aqua Block Earplugs (purple) along with Doc's non-vented pro plugs, Doc's pro plugs, and Fitian water-resistant Silicone Sports Swim Earplugs. It does not hurt, you can easily put them in and take them out and best of all they keep the water out of my ears completely. My swimming routine involves 1 mile at least 3 days a week, and I can accomplish this distance without stopping or flip turns. This is the best thing I've ever seen!.
In addition to this, my eardrums are sensitive to pressure, so any type of earplug causes me quite a lot of discomfort. I recently experienced a perforation in one of my eardrums. Despite not knowing the exact reason, the hole is small enough that the doctors and I are delaying surgery for the moment. I need to keep my ear dry for the time being in order to prevent frequent Since I swim twice a week as part of my workout routine, this is problematic for me.
However, I knew that finding the right ear plug would be difficult. There were several reviews that were mildly useful to me. The following are the experiences I have had with each. In an attempt to save someone the effort of trying so many different things, here are the same reviews with different ratings for all of these. To my knowledge, there is no single correct answer to the earplug conundrum. The purchase 1 (before the doctor recommended Mack's) * I guess they are one star only because they aren't really sticking in my ear. However, they are very comfortable and don't stick to my ear. A number of attempts were made to adjust them. Despite the fact that they did not keep water from gushing into my ears, these gets a second star. Although I did not have water in my ear, they did keep water out of my ear canal. The Ear Band-It was also worn with them, so it may have saved my ears from swimmer's This is the review of the Eye Band-It Ultra Swimming Headband (2 stars)
It fits me perfectly. I have a medium adult head size. Over it I can fit my goggles comfortably, as it's comfortable. Although it keeps water from entering my ears, it does not keep it out. When I swim faster, I feel more water flowing into my ears. It stays on, but it does slip off. A second purchase is necessary (since Amazon is unable to deliver Mack's product within a reasonable timeframe) A pair of Waltgreens Brand swimming ear plugs The ear plugs were very painful to insert in my ear with intact eardrums. As I was crying in the locker room, I cursed a bit. The earplugs were able to keep most of the water out of my ears after I was able to insert them into both of my ears without excruciating pain. I hurt my ears after I spent 35 minutes on the phone I was done swimming after only one minute. These Ear Band-Its worked well enough to keep most water from getting into your ears. In the event that I need to use this method again, I can do so. Swimming and swimmer's ear are both undesirable alternatives. I purchased 3 (never really wanted to give up and could wait for delivery) Jack's AquaBlock Ear Plugs My doctor recommended my doctor to use these ear plugs. It appears that a systematic study has been conducted which concluded that earplugs can be effective. I haven't read this study, however. It was very comfortable to wear these earplugs. I, however, had a lot of difficulty getting them to fit The first few times I tried touching them in my ear, water seeped into my ears. I had to adjust them about four or five times until I got them right. It drove me crazy as I had to interrupt my pacing. They stuck, and when I took them out of my ears, the tips were dry when they were taken out of my ears. Once I figured out how to insert them properly and how to put on the Ear Band-It, they worked as advertised. It will be necessary to visit my doctor for custom ear molds if they continue to be an inconvenience. Mack's Ear Band Swimming Headband (2 stars)
This is made for children, yet there was no indication that it was designed for children. There doesn't seem to be a large size available. My head can be surrounded by it, but my ears will not be covered. The earplugs won't fall out as long as I keep it as a back-up.
They not only worked, but also looked good. They turned out to be much better than we had imagined. As well as being more comfortable than the silicone plugs, they were also completely washable and came in two sizes to make sure they fit comfortably. I would buy it again without hesitation!.
The usual thing for me was to end up with some kind of swimmers ear infection every time I got my head wet. The best ear plugs I have tried in my life I have ever used are these -- I tried several different kinds before and none were as good as these -- The foam is easy to insert and blocks water in the right places. I put out my earplugs, and after I take them out, my ears are remarkably dry, and any moisture that might leak through soon evaporates. Do yourself or someone you love a favor and try them out if you or they have ear problems when swimming. My ears are shaped differently than others, but these are the most comfortable ones for me when swimming. I'm glad Macks did so well!.
Their effectiveness is proven. I use them while I am showering. Allergy ears are what I call them. Many products make my skin extremely dry, even inside the ear canal! My skin is extremely sensitive to many products. Ears that are dry, flaky, and itchy. This, coupled with the fact that I have to rinse my hair after shampooing, result in swimmers ear pain. The cause of the problem can't be determined by doctors. My doctor gave me a medicated ear drop that helped a little while, then didn't do anything for a while. Following much research (Thanks, Google! ), I decided to try these earplugs on my eardrum for swimmers ear pain. I believe that the tiny flaking combined with shower water pushing them further in the ear canal of swimmers causes the discomfort. it has been about 3 weeks since it happened, and it is still not painful. Stay away from the plugs and you won't get wet! As I cross my fingers, I suspect the problem has been found.
It is not recommended to use them in the shower. Due to this, I was unable to get a good seal, and the particles kept getting It was I who followed the instructions. As well, the design doesn't lend itself to showering since the earplug stems stick way out of your ears and your hands keep hitting them when you're My patience was wearing thin after the third time they fell out.
Getting water in my ears is so uncomfortable for me that it interferes with my swimming. I suffer from tons of ear infections as a child. As a holder of one of their goggles, I ordered these in hope that they would solve the problem I had with water in my ears. Occasionally it feels like water gets inside my ear, but when I pull the plug out there's none, could it be that the shaft of the plug is hollow? Mine came in a square box with 4 plugs on it. Be careful not to stick them too far in.
