Questions & Answers
When kept unopened and properly stored, our Aquaphor Baby Wash and Shampoo is designed to last at least 30 months from the date of manufacture. The lot code can be used to determine the manufacture date for products that don't have an expiration date. A lot code is an eight-digit number that identifies a specific piece of merchandise. It is stamped on the back of bottles, the bottom of jars/canisters, or the crimp on tubes with a code. A series of eight numbers or eight numbers followed by two letters will make up the lot code. The first number represents the year the product was manufactured in every case. The production week is represented by the second and third numbers. Lot Code 8153554, for example, indicates that the item was manufactured in the 15th week of 2018. After the expiration date has passed or if the product does not look or smell right, we recommend replacing any unused product.
Because I have extremely sensitive skin, I purchased it for myself. It's mostly for showering after a day at the pool. As an adult, I have no problem with my eyes, but I wouldn't want to respond on behalf of a child.
That is not the case. My children's hair began to fall out as a result of it. I threw it away because the due date had passed.
Aquaphor Gentle Baby Wash and Shampoo has a pH of 5, which is the same as the skin.

This is the best! We've been using Aquaphor for a long time, and I was overjoyed when the body wash was released. My children had baby eczema and still get dry skin, and I notice a big difference when we don't use this product; they get dry skin all over, then we use this (followed by aquaphor ointment on dry prone spots) and their skin is perfect. I have formaldehyde allergies, but not to this one, so I can use it too! It is used by everyone in the family. We keep it coming via subscribe and save, which we've been doing for the past 5 years.
Cradle cap and dry skin on his torso plagued my son. J was one of the candidates. J's baby body wash, Babyganics body wash, and Aveeno body wash were all unsuccessful. It was driving me insane because my son appeared to be in pain and nothing seemed to help. The doctor eventually prescribed Ketoconazol, which didn't seem to help much, and the nurse gave us a sample of Aquaphor baby body wash to try. We tried Ketoconazol for two weeks as directed, but no difference was noticed. After that, we used the Aquaphor wash, and within a week, we noticed a significant improvement. He still has a few patches of dry skin on his chest and back, but his craddle cap has vanished, and he doesn't appear to be as uncomfortable as he once was.
This product has been a lifesaver for my dry-skinned toddler. I've tried everything under the sun to help my little guy get relief from dry itchy patches, and this, in combination with Aquaphor after the bath, has proven to be extremely effective. I didn't want to keep applying pharmaceutical creams that weren't helping because the dermatologist hadn't said what was wrong with his skin. This has at the very least provided him with relief on his worst days, and it is the ONLY bath-related item he owns. So as not to irritate the skin any more, wash it. I'm stocking up on this product because I'm expecting my second child, and I recommend buying the Target gift set that includes this, Aquaphor cream, and a couple of other items to get the most bang for your buck. There is a slight "natural" scent, similar to other "unscented" washes, that isn't great but isn't awful and can only be detected when the bottle is held to your nose. It can be used in his hair and does a good job cleaning it, but I think it leaves a bit of a wet dog smell while his hair is still wet, which goes away once it dries. I put a small pump of it in his bath water and apply it to his skin by hand on really dirty days. It can also be used in his hair and does a good job cleaning it, but I think it leaves a bit of a wet dog smell while his hair is wet.
This is a fantastic product that I use to care for my 96-year-old mother, who has Alzheimer's disease and dementia. It makes it easier for her to stay clean. I've been using it for her care for the past 5 years and plan to keep doing so.
Other brands of baby washes that are more natural seem to appeal to me. It felt drying on my hair when I used it, and my hair easily frizzed. Babo Baby shampoo is what I would recommend if you want something more natural and organic. My favorite is that one.
Despite the fact that I don't have a child, I prefer fragrance-free body and hair care products. The Baby Wash by Aquaphor Shampoo strikes the ideal balance of gentleness and efficacy, cleansing without overdrying my skin and scalp. br>br>The body wash has a clear gel consistency and produces a mild lather that rinses quickly; it's not particularly bubbly, but it's a medium-strength formula. thick foam that is easy to lather with a sponge; It's more like a thick gel when used on its own (no sponge or loofah). foam. br>br>I have dry body skin (dermatitis patches on occasion), but I'm prone to breakouts and keratosis pilaris. This product does not overdry my skin when used as a body wash (I still use a moisturizer afterward). Although it isn't the most cleansing body wash, I am able to wash it well with a natural sponge, even the water resistant/waterproof SPF. br>br>As a shampoo, it's great for my fine frizzy hair, which has a dry itchy scalp that gets greasy every three days. I work out almost every day, so four days is a good number. I have to wash twice if I'm using dry shampoo, but otherwise one wash is sufficient to cleanse my scalp. Although it does not completely control my dandruff, I use it in conjunction with a treatment shampoo when I experience flare-ups. I use conditioner after the shampoo because I didn't realize the shampoo made my hair frizzy. br>Another advantage of using baby shampoos is that they are almost always tear-free, which is important to me because I have sensitive eyes. br>br>The bottle is very practical; the pump allows you to get the exact dosage you need every time; the pump runs smoothly, and the cap is securely fastened.
My daughter, who is now one year old, has had eczema since she was a month old, and we've been using this product since then. Along with the aquaphor ointment, this helped her get rid of her rashes. We tried switching to Aveeno bath wash, but her skin became irritated after only two uses, so we went back to this bath wash. It's unscented, which is a good thing because it means there aren't any extra ingredients in there to irritate the skin. This brand was recommended to me by my pediatrician and family members.
I'd tried so many different treatments with no luck, and I was about to spend money on Mustela when I came across this aquaphor recommendation. SHOCKED is the word that comes to mind when I think about it. br>br>I shampooed their hair and let it sit for a few minutes before brushing/massaging it with a cradle cap brush and rinsing it. To my surprise, my daughter’s is 100% gone and my son (who had it worse!) is 100% gone and my son (who’s had it worse! I probably didn't massage it well enough because it only has a few tiny patches. I'm confident that if they continue to receive treatment, their problem will be resolved. br>br>They also have other sensitive skin issues (small bumps on arms and legs), so we'll see how using this product helps those over time. This is the first baby wash product I've felt confident in, and I'll be adding it to my subscribe and save list!.
