Yes, it's a very useful tool that can be used for a variety of purposes.
I'm not sure about a coat; I bought it for a sweater coat and my arms are in the sleeves. It's fine, and I'm not a big fan of heavy coats. I hope this has been of some assistance.
Maybe
I only used it on cotton and poly-blend fabrics, but it worked well. I'm confident it would work because it has a strong grip while causing no damage to the material.

This was exactly what we needed for my daughter, who is all legs and has a tiny waist. It worked well on two different dresses that we tried it on. If not careful, I believe it could snag, and if the dress is 'wispy,' it may be too heavy. But it's ideal for us.
I had no idea what to expect, but the concept of this clasp piqued my interest enough for me to buy it. People always comment on it when I wear it. Even the picture on the page does not do it justice! The best part is that I bought it for cardigans, but it also looks great on some of my loose-fitting shirts and dresses. Finally, I plan to buy more for my friends and family in my neighborhood. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful product!.
I expected it to be a little bigger. It also came unclipped a couple of times, but to be fair, I was a little tipsy and animated at the time.
I bought this for my girlfriend because she had purchased a dress she liked but found to be a little too flowy and unflattering. I gave it to her so she could tie it around her waist and add a little flair to her dress. It was a hit with her. Her only gripe was that she would have preferred a more nautical theme, as she was wearing a summer-only dress. When it comes to cinching sun dresses and cover-ups as you transition from beach wear to beach side dinners, a sea turtle or a dolphin might be a better choice.
From side to side, this clip measures about 3 inches, with the flower in the center measuring about 1 inch (or slightly less). It appears to be a solidly built item. It is simple to open and close the clips. I don't use a sweater clip very often, but it's fun to use as a gathering clip in the back of a blouse or dress.
My rose clasp was shipped quickly, arrived on time, and was well-protected. However, the spacing between the clasps was not equal on each side, causing the rose to be off center, so I was disappointed. I attempted to center it by bending the wires that connect the clasps. It's better than it was at first, but it's still not perfectly centered, and I'm a perfectionist, so it didn't seem worth the trouble to send it back for another, so I'll use it.
This is a fantastic little clip. Because I have a small frame, things that are too wide on my ribcage require tucking in. Since I was trying to hide my stomach, I've lost weight and have a lot of tops that are designed to be a little fuller or baggy. My clothes are now more fitted as a result of adding this clever little accessory, but I can still remove it and go for a looser look if I prefer. It's simple to use and can be worn in front or back. I'm sure there are more inventive ways to use it, such as bringing fabric up at the waist's side, but I'll need more time to experiment. I, on the other hand, adore it. Some people have expressed dissatisfaction with the rose's centering. However, the rose petals are varied in shape, as they are in real roses, and depending on the angle, it may appear that part of a petal is further over on one side; however, I think it's fine. It's especially useful for gowns. I feel like I've gained new ones because the shape is completely different and very flattering with this added on! So far, the clip hasn't caused any damage to my clothing. It appears to be well-made and durable. I'll have to stock up on more styles because I'll be wearing this all the time!.
The dark rose pattern clip was delivered to me. It appears to be well-made and appealing. I intend to use it to cinch the backs of some of my large, loose-fitting shirts to make them more form-fitting. Because it is small, it is ideal. Others that I've tried don't work as well for this purpose because they're too long, requiring a tighter pinch. Most of my shirts should look good with the dark rose pattern. Because I just got it, I haven't used it yet, but I'm hoping it's gentle enough not to crush my more delicate shirts. Because it has a plastic lining between the clamps (unlike my other ones), I believe it will be fine.
