In my bag, I always keep a supply of Cliff bars on hand for snacking between meals or as a meal replacement. As a frequent traveler (22 times a year with overnight stays) I always make sure that I have Cliff bars and Larabars in my luggage. There are no calories in Cliff bars, but I enjoy them very much and I've gone days without eating anything else. The cost of buying overpriced foods at airports or rest stops is much higher when I have them in my bag instead. The one I find to be most enjoyable is this one, but there are several others that I like as well.
Whether it be a replacement for part of my breakfast, food on the go while cycling along with some mix in the bottles, a recovery food when I immediately cramp after cycling again, or just as an overall recovery food, these are indispensable to me in terms of a healthy snack. I can attest that this product is both a lifesaver and delicious. You can find it at any convenience store and it's super easy to make. I've tried a few more flavours from time to time and this is my favorite. If you've ever been hungry on a bike but the sandwich you brought didn't work, This is a decision you won't regret.
