Lunch was eaten at the chinese restaurant across the street during my junior and senior years of high school. A staple of my diet was beef fired rice and General Tso. There was never a decent sauce in the store or I couldn't make a passable one. Due to the fact that I typically purchase Asian-style products in gallon or larger jugs given their near limitless shelf life, I decided to give this a try. My boyfriend and I whipped up some generals chicken with carrots, onions, and pepper and followed that up with this seasoning. There are not enough words in the world to express my gratitude that.
There is a great deal of variety in what is called General Tso for sauces, so I had to search for a while before I found the one I liked the best. You can modify this one to fit a wider range of uses since it is in the medium hot range. A dipping sauce for egg rolls can be made by mixing honey and canola oil. Pour in some pepper flakes if you want it hotter. A nice orange sauce can be made by adding orange juice (or orange juice concentrate). Though it is rather pricey, I consider it to be a necessity to have a base sauce I can use whenever I like.

Szechwan sauce can be used for stir fry and other cooking, so a family can use this up in three months if they are doing a lot of stir frying and other cooking. A less frequent frequency can last longer, however it does not degrade. You can also use it as a barbecue sauce.
I have been buying House of Tsang general tso sauce at Walmart for a while now, and I find that it is quite expensive for the size of the bottle Here is a site I found and decided to give it a go. My favorite sauce is Asian and I can't stop eating it. The three different kinds I make in big quantities are also squirted on some dishes, as are various ready-made ones. Therefore I cannot resist trying another, and when I read the reviews for this, I just had to try it. My rating of 5 stars is a reflection of my first reaction. I am now putting some of this in one of my squirt bottles with my home-made sauces (while I am at it, I recommend exploring Amazon's squirt bottles in various sizes to have more convenience when you are getting items in large containers).
