No, I just like Curry because it's the best I have ever had
The spice mix is a little different I usually get butter chicken paste when the mood strikes! They have a wide range of mixes that I enjoy.

A new formula and brand of the Kitchen's of India Paste for Chicken Curry has been introduced. It was because it was advertised with the old packaging and the old ingredients that I ordered it. was aware there was a new model, but didn't want it, so I ordered this current model because it is advertised as the old model. I received the new box with the new formula, which is far from as tasty as before. In lieu of garlic and tomato paste being further down on the list, they were atop the list now Spices are listed above. This was in the old formula because the spices came before the garlic and tomato paste, giving it a more flavorful feel. In this one, the tomato flavor is more prominent and the garlic adds more heat. Flavor does not seem to be as strong. The two photos below show the actual item that I received, which was different from what was.
Compared to making a curry from scratch, this was faster and more convenient. I did not feel that they skimped on the level of spices, but the quality of those spices worried me. I don't like it. It was mostly the weird, almost shocking, bitterness of the product before it was modified that upset me. Despite using a considerable amount of sugar, yogurt, coconut milk, and lemon juice (and I think other spices as well, but I don't remember which) I was able to make a curry that tasted rather good. Even after adding much more sugar than seemed entirely justified, the curries from scratch that I have made have been decently better than what I have gotten from this mix, though I am not an Indian. In fairness, I did a chickpea and spinach curry while I normally prefer chicken of any variety, but I still felt the results were underwhelming considering that, and I realize that I had to make several adjustments to get it right.
A treat for the tongue that is akin to the flavors of the subcontinent, it is rich, deep, and potent. It just takes about half an hour to make a tasty and satisfying meal using a packet of spice mix and a large cut up skinless chicken breast paired with green peas and cauliflower florets over rice!
