Kitchens of India Chicken Curry Paste, 3.5 Ounce - 6 per case.

A new formula and brand of the Kitchen's of India Paste for Chicken Curry has been introduced. It was because it was advertised with the old packaging and the old ingredients that I ordered it. was aware there was a new model, but didn't want it, so I ordered this current model because it is advertised as the old model. I received the new box with the new formula, which is far from as tasty as before. In lieu of garlic and tomato paste being further down on the list, they were atop the list now Spices are listed above. This was in the old formula because the spices came before the garlic and tomato paste, giving it a more flavorful feel. In this one, the tomato flavor is more prominent and the garlic adds more heat. Flavor does not seem to be as strong. The two photos below show the actual item that I received, which was different from what was.

Compared to making a curry from scratch, this was faster and more convenient. I did not feel that they skimped on the level of spices, but the quality of those spices worried me. I don't like it. It was mostly the weird, almost shocking, bitterness of the product before it was modified that upset me. Despite using a considerable amount of sugar, yogurt, coconut milk, and lemon juice (and I think other spices as well, but I don't remember which) I was able to make a curry that tasted rather good. Even after adding much more sugar than seemed entirely justified, the curries from scratch that I have made have been decently better than what I have gotten from this mix, though I am not an Indian. In fairness, I did a chickpea and spinach curry while I normally prefer chicken of any variety, but I still felt the results were underwhelming considering that, and I realize that I had to make several adjustments to get it right.

A treat for the tongue that is akin to the flavors of the subcontinent, it is rich, deep, and potent. It just takes about half an hour to make a tasty and satisfying meal using a packet of spice mix and a large cut up skinless chicken breast paired with green peas and cauliflower florets over rice! There is nothing better in my kitchen than Kitchens of India products!.

A specialty store brought it back to us and we would buy 6 at a time. Our pantry always had at least 2 of them on hand. They are no longer available at that specialty store. There is no reason for that, I don't understand it! In order to make this food, you merely need to fry some chicken and cook some veggies with butter or whatever you use, then add some paste with a little This dish is great over the rice or pasta of your choice. When we were out of rice, we served it over pasta instead, and it worked well Even vegans enjoy it without chicken just vegetables! It is a delicious, sour, and spicy dish that everyone enjoys! The bulk of our ordering will now be done through Amazon.

This paste is very flavorful and comes sealed in foil to keep it fresh. You should saute the chicken in the pan for 10 minutes Add pressure with water and simmer for 15 minutes, then add some more water and simmer for another 20 minutes The water portion of the sauce can be added after 30 minutes when desired consistency is reached. A tablespoon of butter should be added at the end.

While I liked the easy to use seasoned Indian meal, I found it to be a bit It would be good to add milk or cream at the end to calm it down. Despite its spicy nature, it is not too hot. It is something I will buy.

I cube my chicken and cook it a bit, then I cook off a lot of onions and serrano garlic, sometimes potatoes, too. Once I have added everything back as well as the paste and water, I am done. This is a spicy and delicious dish.

There is too much salt in this dish. The solution was diluted with twice the suggested amount of water. This caused the sauce to be too thin additional ingredients and corn starch were needed to thicken it. There is still too much salt in it. There might have been something wrong with my Twice I tried to like it, then I.
