The taste is similar to tapioca or some other non-fructose starch Thegluten flower is dyed brown with something that gives it the I don't like the noodles because they are chewy and have no flavor. there is buckwheat in this, it's just enough to give it a yellow tint. The noodles here are not made from buckwheat. I have eaten 100% buckwheat noodles for years.

Keeping them aside for as long as 30 minutes was possible for me I add the shredded chicken to my Tom Yum soup after 45 minutes. did not stick to each other at all in the soup and separated perfectly. We definitely plan to purchase again in the future. Adding 5 minutes to the cooking time (on medium heat after returning to a boil) was perfectly fine.

This is a classic case of an American grocery store selling an expensive, inferior brand because they haven't figured out that the same brand can be found for much less and in better quality in Asian markets. There is a large component of packaging cost involved in the price of these noodles. Is there a reason each bunch of noodles comes in an individual wrapper of purple? With all the other items in the boiling water, it also ends up in there. On the website, it says 'noodle culture. ' Why is this? It sounds like a sick joke, but whose idea was it? As I mentioned before, I used these for a sesame noodle recipe that I make often with success. Seeing the mess that I have created sitting in a serving bowl in front of me, I can't find why I did it What went wrong is now clear to me. The noodle is what it is. It has been a good experience to find good Asian brands locally and I will continue to use them. An Asian brand of this quality is not to be found here.

One of the few brands that make soba with 100% organic buckwheat is this one. They are delicious both in terms of taste and texture.
