TLB Rice Vermicelli

We had tried a variety of rice noodles before and found these to be pleasant and agreeable. I tossed them in a light Thai curry sauce after boiling them according to the package directions. There are a couple of things to think about: 1. br>br> They're round (like spaghetti noodles) and about the same thickness as regular spaghetti. This gives them a thicker texture than most rice noodles, allowing them to withstand a thicker sauce. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br These noodles contain fiber and protein, indicating that they are not simply empty starch like most rice noodles. My husband is slightly sensitive to blood sugar spikes, so this was critical for us. 3. br>br>4. br>br>5. br>br>6. These noodles, unlike some rice noodles, are less likely to clump together during cooking, resulting in hard parts due to uneven cooking. For us, this is a huge plus! 4. br>br> A pound of noodles is a substantial amount. These, thankfully, are served separately. I did have to put two blocks of noodles in a ziplock bag after removing them from the original package because it was no longer intact enough to close.

Rice noodles aren't supposed to be anything but slightly salty, am I right? You are the one who adds the flavors. I make noodle soup with these by adding turmeric, ginger, green onion, and sometimes mustard for a kick; it's my go-to favorite when I get home late and hungry! And it's a million times better than instant soup cups, which are devoid of noodles and contain a variety of garbage in their seasoning packets. This results in a nutritious and filling homemade noodle soup. I've even used them to make a healthy pad thai.

Because the rice noodles are not always available in the stores near where I live, I ordered two large packs from Amazon. They'll keep us going for a while, and they're tasty and nutritious. And now I have a pantry full of them!.

These noodles were simple to make and stayed flavorful for a long time. One caveat: I bought them to make Singapore noodles, which are a very thin noodle dish, and they are actually a medium noodle, so they are wider than I prefer. If you're looking for very thin noodles, these might be a little too thick!.
