Dark chili powder is NOT what you are looking for! This is the regular Chili Powder in the dark Chili Powder container
3/5

We're talking about regular chili powder here. What the heck. Darkness has nothing to do with Over the last few years, I have bought McCormick's Dark Chili Powder from either the grocery store or BJ's Wholesale Club. Throughout history, the dark has always been a darker color and more brown by nature. We're talking about regular chili powder here. The color is lighter and orange. There is no justification for this. McCormick's, how are you?.

Watch out for There is no real chili powder in this! Bricks and saw dust are present in it
3/5

Sawdust and brick powder, two of the most common adulterants in chili powder, are the most common. Test it by adding a teaspoon of chili powder to a glass of water and stirring. When there is a swirl of bright red colour present, it is a result of artificial colouring. When there is a settling of gritty sediment at the bottom of glass, it is a result of saw dust or brick Add a teaspoon of chili powder to a glass of water and stir. An adulterated chili powder will have a red swirl in it. There was a pink/red swirl on top of mine and there was a lot of sediment on the bottom as well.

Chili made by this chef is always the best. The instant packets are a thing of the past. Here is a recipe for fresh vegetables that I have attached. This Turkey Chili contains fresh vegetables and is prepared by Shayna Armond. Each serving serves four. Flavor - Pleasant all the way around An excellent value for the money
5/5

Any chili dish I eat is a favorite of mine. Compared to other chili powders, this one has a nice, rounded taste. I find it to be quite mild in taste. The mild chili can be used as a base for a more complex A person who wants more heat can add extra chipotles, cumin, cayenne, or pick from a variety of fresh peppers for more heat and flavor. How a dish is prepared is completely up to the cook. *Whether you prefer mild chili dishes (or plenty of heat like I do) this is an excellent spice base, and the large jar comes at a really good price. You can keep chipotle powder or chili powder on hand for 'customizing' food if you like heat. There will be no doubt about it, I will buy Please take note Since using this spice for several months, I am still pleased with the flavor, the results, and the price. It's a good spice for a variety of Yet, it's not in the description of the item You should keep salt in mind when prepping recipes that contain this chili powder.

It is a great blend of spices! always eat a low carbohydrate diet so that I can combat my diabetes, and I love to make my own taco seasoning, which I always use in our family
5/5

It's the best chili powder I've ever used. This brand blends in well with the other seasoning I use. I have tried different brands and I think this one is the best. Chili and blending with other spices are good uses for it. The price and size are great, and I think the quality is excellent. The product will likely be my go-to for the foreseeable future and I'll recommend it.

For the price you get a lot of dark stuff
5/5

"Dark" chili powder has a sweeter taste and is more spicy than standard chili powder. The flavor is a bit more potent when combined with beans. There will be a slight difference in flavor, but overall it will be pretty interchangeable with the other It is a good price when compared to the grocery store, but it isn't substantially less when buying in bulk at your local store. If you buy in bulk you save much more than if you buy those little.

This is good for the price, I mostly use it when I make my own taco spice mix, which has a lot of different spices in it
4/5

The chili flavor stands out very well, so I probably will use something higher quality to use as taco meat.
On its own, it's just okay. There's no great flavor profile, so I use something higher quality.
