It tasted and smelled like bleach to me when I purchased it at a local King Soopers store. decided to order this batch instead because it turned out to be a bad batch. This product is smelling the same as the previous one! It literally tastes and smells like chemicals, even though I have used it for years. They must have changed something recently because it tastes and smells like chemicals now.
going overseas at the moment and haven't been able to find anything that even comes close, so I bought it online and had it sent to someone in Greece who brought it to me. This ingredient is used in so many of the meals that I make, so I can use up a larger quantity in a reasonable amount of time You can buy it for less than you would expect! This is definitely something I will purchase.
GARLIC SALT THAT IS OUT OF THIS WORLD! There is no joke here. When I was in high school, someone gave me the recipe for their salsa with the instruction to use only Lawry's Garlic Salt. That was about 12 years ago, and this is the only garlic salt I've used since. Simply by opening the container and smelling the aroma, you will be able to tell that product is of high quality! The 33 oz can sometimes be hard to find. I was happy to find it on Amazon at a good price and the right size.

At the time, it contained 240 mg. For 1/4 teaspoon, the sodium content is 14 mg. The container holds 33 oz of medicine, so 260mg is contained in it. I do not know why there is a As a rule of thumb, 1/4 tsp of Morton iodized salt has 590 mg of sodium. There is a container of sea salt that contains 580 mg of sodium per 1/4 tsp. In order to give the dish a flavorful finish, I tend to use less of Lawry's garlic salt. In other words, this helps me stay within a healthy sodium intake. It states that it contains no MSG "added" to the ingredients.
You can use this as a spice in pasta sauce, sandwich spreads, or just about anything else needing a little bit of garlicky flavor. I'm talking about GARLIC SALT here. It's not the same as garlic powder though. It is crucial that you choose the one that you really need before you purchase.
My favorite way to use this flavoring is to add it to many different dishes. Popcorn, guacamole, potatoes mashed, steamed vegetables, hamburger casserole, and many more are a few of the dishes I add. Sea salt instead of regular salt is a welcome change in this newer product. The extra flavor it provides is noticeable.
As I have been using this brand for years, I thought it was a good deal when I saw it at Costco for a higher price. The product is not usable and cannot be returned. Initially, I thought it smelled like fish until my son told me it did, without telling me that I thought the same before. Spending money on nothing.
All meat, eggs, and vegetables taste wonderful when paired with garlic salt, which is a great substitute for salt with the added benefit of As a substitute for salt for everything except sweets, I use a mixture of it or Lowry's garlic powder.
