Questions & Answers

I'm not sure if my grinder will work or not, given all of these mixed reviews. Some argue that it isn't an issue. Some talk about it as if it were a fact. ?

This is the grinder I bought, in fact two of them, one for my house and one for my mother's house, and neither of them enjoys grinding it. In fact, it becomes stuck, runs slowly, and acts as if the grinder requires new batteries despite the fact that both sets of electric grinders have brand new batteries. The flavor is excellent, but I believe it is too coarse for electric grinders. Of course, these aren't $200 grinders; they're $45 grinders, and they're having a hard time with this salt. I plan to buy a couple of hand grinders for each of us, and then buy a finer grain of the same brand and use it in my grinders; yes, I know it's redundant, but I'm an electrician, so I prefer it that way.

Is there iodine in the salt?

The makers of this pink salt will tell you that it contains insufficient iodine to keep a person healthy. br>As a result, getting iodine from a different source is preferable. br>You will harm your body if you rely on this product. It's best to disregard what the other person said; this is a fact.br>IF you want some iodine in your salts, the best way, IMO, is to combine kelp seasoning and pink salt. br>You could get some ground kelp and put a little in a shaker, or you could just get some thicker ones and get a grounder salt mill thingy. That is exactly what I intend to do. br>Also, please keep in mind that Himalayan salt does not come from the Himalayas, as this salt claims. It comes from the Pakistani salt mines of Khewra. It is the world's second largest mine. However, it is close to the Himalayas, about 100 kilometers away. It's about 200 miles away. Because of the amount of iron in it, it is pink. There is red salt from Hawaii that contains a lot of iron. The problem is that sea salt is highly contaminated, and this salt was formed long before humans came into contact with it. As a result, it's unlikely to be harmful to your health. However, it lacks the required amount of iodine.

Is this salt natural and unprocessed?

PURE Himalayan Crystal Culinary Salt Dark Pink Natural PURE Himalayan Crystal Culinary Salt Dark Pink Natural PURE Himalayan Crystal Culinary Salt Dark www.koshercertification.com Kosher Certification THESPICELAB is a website dedicated to the study of spices. It's unrefined, in my opinion. It appeals to me. Minerals are more abundant in darker colors.

Is this salt wet, as the reviews for celtic sea salt suggest?

FYI: Celtic salt is a (French grey) sea salt that is supposed to be moist due to the grey clay harvested from natural pools in France. Himalayan pink salt is a rock salt mined in northern Pakistan from a salt mine dug into the side of a mountain, which is why you get pink rocks and sand, among other things. Unfortunately, Himalayan salt is a finite resource; once it's gone, it's gone forever.

Selected User Reviews For The Spice Lab Himalayan Salt - Coarse 1 Pound - Pink Himalayan Salt is Nutrient and Mineral Dense for Health - Gourmet Pure Crystal Kosher & Natural Certified

This isn't real Himalayan pink salt; when diluted in water, it turns the water pink, indicating that it's been dyed to look like pink salt when it's really just regular salt, with sediment mixed in that gets into your food or water

There are rocks and glass in this area, so be careful
3/5

This salt should not be bought or consumed. There is a lot of sediment in my bath from using a small hanfull. Only a small portion of it is depicted in the photograph, which was taken from a handful of people. What's the difference between glass and rocks? Wow. And you can't return the item? Isn't it correct that I'm entitled to a complete refund?.

It used to be great
3/5

However, there are many stones and rocks now. Very let down. For a long time, this salt was my go-to, but it appears to have degraded in recent years. Recently, there have been a lot of stones/rocks in the salt, which irritate you when you bite into your food and ruin the entire dish. Since my last two purchases, I've been noticing this almost every day. It's best to look elsewhere if you're looking for a good quality salt that's free of rocks. br>.

White chunks in product that’t salt
3/5

Says 100% Himalayan salt but I have small white chunks that’t crumble between my fingers and doesn’t taste like I'm trying to figure out how to get my money back. NOT TO BE ACCEPTED!.

As fillers, rocks were used
3/5

It is not safe to eat! Because the salt contains rocks, it is dangerous to eat. Adding weight to the bag when you only get a fraction of what you paid for is a sneaky, unethical practice. This seller's item should be removed from Amazon's site.

This is not genuine Himalayan salt; I tried making sole with it and the water turned pink and cloudy
3/5

I switched to this brand, believing it to be the genuine article. People, don't be fooled; this isn't the real deal. Himalayan salt does not turn pink when it comes into contact with water. It does not dissolve all of the salt, so it remains clear.

Although the quality appears to be satisfactory, I will not order from this manufacturer again
3/5

The bag is exactly what it says it is. There isn't nearly as much "sand" as some other reviewers have claimed. Insoluble pieces were mentioned in a number of reviews that I read - I saw quite a few of them. There are a lot of "white" chalky rocks that don't dissolve and have a bitter/sour taste; I ordered a bag of salt from SaltWorks and there appear to be no chunks of these white rocks. In general, this salt appears to be satisfactory. I will not likely order this brand again due to the large number of insoluble, chalky pieces.

The Spice Lab was not labeled on the product that I received
3/5

I did not receive the item depicted in the advertisement. The salt is a pale pink and white color, and it comes in a Black Tai Salt Co. package. The Spice Lab is not one of them. I'll send it back to you.
