How big is the item in general?

Because I don't have it anymore, I can only guess, but it was probably 6" wide and 7"-7.5" tall. The topper stands 8" tall (not including the wooden stick).

Gold that is yellow in color

It was both attractive and durable. The only issue I had with it was that it was extremely yellow gold. It looked yellow to me when I first saw it. It appears to be gold in the photo, but it is actually yellow gold.
