Almond extract is quite expensive, but it is worth the price. The best for Making Italian cookies with it is my favorite thing to do. It's a YUMMMMMM. There is no extract I would ever choose over this brand. Their vanilla extract is also superb. If you want the best flavor in your baked goods, use the best extract.

You'll probably never run out of this extract as it comes in a large bottle and is probably going to last a lifetime. It smells and tastes just like the real thing - don't think it's a fake! It does not smell fake or like alcohol. The scent is also not overpowering, so you can use a bit or a lot of it. This was used to make a cream for cannolis and toppings for pizzeles, both of which came out beautifully!.

There isn't a strong almond taste like there can be with almond extract. It's still best to use a little bit at a time, so I dip it into the bottle and use it literally a drop at a time when flavoring. To date, I have found that frosting and glazes are the most effective ways to use it. To kick it up a notch, I add a couple drops of salmon to a teaspoon of vanilla flavor I add while flavoring. The frosting gets melted in your mouth after eating it, as it's so pretty and delicate.

You want the top to be tightly fastened on a bottle of almond extract since it vaporizes faster than vanilla extract. Most supermarket brands don't seem able to prevent evaporation with their plastic lids. Have never tried any other brand besides McCormicks, but like the flavor of this one.

To use this extract in a church baking project over the Easter holidays, I ordered it. The almond extract we used was from Neison Massey I received it from Amazon in a timely manner. It is amazing how much difference there is! Several members of our baking team commented on the dramatic difference, not knowing that the "brand" of the ingredients used in our recipe had changed. This one's for keeps. As time passes, any flavoring or extract will lose its robust flavor.

Almond extract has a natural flavor, and it does not have an artificial aftertaste or an unpleasant bitter aftertaste like the ones I have used in the past. It is a very high quality almond extract. The taste was fantastic and very convenient. I will use this product from now on since the taste was so good. Using this extract, I was able to make an almond cake that was better than any other I have ever experienced with a coffee almond layer cake.

There is no one better than Massey. Nielsen provides a variety of products that I have purchased There are a number of Massey items available on Amazon, including vanilla bean paste, mexican and Madagascar vanilla extract, and almond extract. I am blown away by the depth of flavor, scent, and quality of Nielsen-Massey products There is nothing like Massey extracts and paste - in terms of quality and flavor, they are unsurpassed. Any of those products would be a great addition to your baking arsenal.
