Vanilla is the best. Since I have been buying vanilla extract for two decades, this is by far the worst I've ever bought. In any case, it is mostly alcohol with little vanilla flavor, and doesn't add any vanilla flavor to anything it is added to - or at least not if it is used according to the recipe. This flavor is good and works well in recipes, however it does not specify whether it is pure vanilla or vanilla flavor on the label. I think it is very reasonably priced, and it works, but if you are looking for Tahitian vanilla, or Madagascar vanilla, or Mexican vanilla, you might have to do some digging in order to find out where Frontier gets its.
Due to the price difference and the fact that it was cheaper than the other brand I bought this vanilla extract. IMHO this one is not very flavorful and does not smell as nice as the other one. Perhaps the batch itself is to blame. The vanilla shortage could be due to a lack of supply.
