There is a difference between them. Vinegar made from Sherry can be used in salad dressings and as a salad dressing. It is more like Basalmic vinegar. The use of cooking sherry (this product) is similar to that of cooking wine and is great for bringing a lot of flavor and tenderness to red meat as it cooks or marinates.
The manufacturer would be the most qualified to answer that question, in my honest opinion.

I am no longer able to buy this from my local grocer. Since I've found it to be the best cooking sherry I've ever tried, I checked here to see if it was available on Amazon. It made me happy to see them do so! I would order it again, since it was packaged securely, arrived on time, and I'd recommend it to friends. You ought to give Cooking Sherry a try if you have never used it before. Cooking wine that would go well with shrimp. I expected a slightly stronger flavor, but this is good nonetheless.
