It was a total waste of money to buy this cheese. It spoiled in transit when I tried to order Parmigiano Reggiano. As such, I decided to give it a shot. Very little flavor was apparent in the cheese and it had a mild scent. The sauce went well with my Alfredo. The creaminess of the addition simply added nothing to the dish. I urge you not to waste your money.
I haven't tasted the original blue cheese (which I actually had the pleasure of tasting in France) because this one isn't as rich and strong tasting (and smelly as real French blue cheese). A slightly softer flavor might be better suited to people who are just introducing themselves to this type of cheese. It doesn't accomplish the same thing by saying that the Organic Valley blue cheese does not taste delicious. In terms of the taste, it's quite close to the real thing, with a rich, tangy buttery flavor that is much better than many other options at Whether you warm the crumbles or simply eat them, they are soft and creamy, but still hold their shape well. It contains crumbles of different sizes, from tiny dusts of cheese to big chunks of cheese. In general, I enjoyed this cheese with salads (it pairs wonderfully with toppings like walnuts and cranberries), on sandwiches with roast beef, on omelets, as an appetizer with grapes and figs, and on cold salads with chicken.
I can assure you that we are usually parmesan connoisseurs they were both very satisfied.
There is a great blue cheese at Whole Foods, however, they do not offer the 8oz option. The item is in the store because I buy it almost every week when I go to the store, but now that I am getting home delivery, it may not be available. The company is only offering smaller sizes or not offering the home delivery option for certain items, which makes them less appealing and is probably more expensive. Overall, the consensus regarding the rest of the home delivery food offers is that no food should be added to this list. An extremely frustrating experience.
I'm just not feeling it today. There is no parmesan taste to it.
am a fan of Organic Valley products, and I buy this cheese because I can get it directly from Amazon fresh and I don't like the fact that it's not their own. The kind from the deli at the grocery store I prefer, however, is not as good. But of course, it's a huge leap above Kraft's in the jar variety. Though I assume that if you're looking at purchasing this, you won't be comparing it to that kind. Although I almost always have some on hand as a backup, I keep some in the refrigerator as well.
It's so good. I love organic!.
