I've never had an issue with rocks or twigs in the mix. Because there is a scooper and the seeds are very fine, I believe that if there was a rock or twig, it would be obvious and easy to avoid. I would strongly advise you to try these seeds. They are delicious when I mix them into my yogurt in the morning.
The Chia Company, founded by a farmer named John Foss in 2003, grows and packages the chia seeds in Australia.
I've placed four orders with this company and have never had a single issue! Because of the numerous positive reviews, I believe a competitor is to blame. These are excellent seeds in my opinion, with no bugs or twigs! In addition, the cost is excellent.

I first discovered bugs after almost finishing an entire container of food and blaming my husband (oops) for leaving the container open. I assumed the bugs got in because he left the container open (which he most likely didn't), but I just opened a NEW container and there are even more bugs in that one! So now I'm aware that they simply arrive with chia seeds. br>IT'S SO GROSS. Yes, I'm a hippy, but I'm not a big fan of eating bugs, especially when they're not supposed to be in my food.
I saw very small creatures moving inside today, and I can send the product to the seller for analysis if they want.
heavy enough to work with my new keto eating plan. br>After some careful testing, I've found that grinding them in a coffee grinder before using in supplemental protein shakes works best for me, and it's simple. I use 14 grams of ground chia seeds in each shake. 14 g flax seeds (ground); 20 g protein powder made from peas; 12 ounces of pure water a smidgeon of flavoring (cinnamon, vanilla, coconut flour, etc. ) and stevia for sweetness This nutritious concoction thickens nicely in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving. A lovely pudding can be made by adding more chia and/or using less water. as in a dessert dish br>When I read reviews claiming "bugs" were crawling in, on, or around the containers, I was extremely skeptical. As a result, I was hesitant to give much weight to such claims, which lacked any real empirical evidence and/or visual documentation to back them up. Furthermore, the negative reviews with accompanying photos fall far short of providing definitive proof of the presence of any life-forms. (Are they serious, or what?) )br>However, I poured about 8 oz of seeds into a large plastic bowl in order to carefully inspect them myself—under magnification (with typical Sherlockian zeal), and found no evidence of minuscule life-forms (or excessive debris, for that matter). It was, however, amusing to watch these tiny seeds become seemingly hyperactive as I returned them to their container due to the effects of static electricity. (This was brought up by another reviewer. ) also has an impact on activity )br>I believe this is a good product that is being sold at a reasonable and competitive price ($6. I've ordered it twice (8 lbs so far), and will probably order plenty more unless the price rises to more than what I'd pay for similar foodstuffs at local stores, or until I actually see live critters burrowing and frolicking about, and/or get attacked by teensy-weeny-weeniesy-weeny-weeny-weeny-weeny-weeny-weeny-weeny-weeny-ween winged-weensy-weensy-weensy-weensy- When I remove the safety seal on the container, monkeys fly out. (The latter is unquestionably the better option. ) oh yeah!.
I enjoy putting chia seeds in my water, but I kept getting dirt in the process. Other brands have never given me this problem.
I couldn't eat them without first sorting my seeds, so I won't buy them again.
Quality should be considered. Among the items are sand rocks and dried seeds in large quantities. Overall, the quality is extremely low. It ended up being used to feed the wild birds.
There were rodents dropping on the product, which was of poor quality. This isn't something you should buy.
