Questions & Answers

Would these be covered by the FSA?

I was eligible for a FSA grant with my Echo Frames from generation one and 2. The frames were covered by both the eyeglasses and the glasses coverage from the federal health insurance program. According to what I understand, the new version qualifies for the FSA

What kind of housing do they have?

That isn't possible because HUD won't be available

What is the difference between the original and the new model? If you upgrade from 1st generation to 2nd generation, what are the advantages?

The first generation is the one I have. When listening to music and making phone calls in the office, the battery life of the phone is pretty poor. I also have trouble justifying the $15 or so additional cost for another charging cable, so I always use the one that came with the glasses. It also seems that the original is frequently losing connection with the Alexa app.

What is the procedure to order a prescription or to request a reading?

The majority of glasses shops do not make lenses, but there are a few (like Lenscrafters). You can also find some online shops that will cut lenses for you and mount them for you as well. It is not difficult to pop them in or out, the frames are only designed to be cold mounted. In my case, I chose a local shop with their own cutting lab, since I have a very strong prescription, and if they are not cut exactly right, it can lead to distortion. There are definitely cheaper prices with online shops, so if you don't need a strong prescription, you will probably be able to find the items you need this way.

I give it five stars in every way It is not for all (with an update on Privacy in March, 2021)
5/5

It is a review of the Echo Frames of the First Generation***

I purchased the Echo Frames of the First Generation in February of this year. The following three parts will make up my review In addition to aesthetics, functionality and reservations are also important. Here are some important points to bear in mind 1. I am interested in aesthetics. When I first saw these frames, I was a bit concerned. As well as being bulky, I was nervous they would be heavy. It is especially important to preserve You need not fear this point at all Having worn these glasses for over a year, not only have none of my friends ever commented on them (unless Alexa start engaging with me), but I have not noticed anyone looking at them funny either. It may be because our gaze tends to be focused directly on another's face, thus making our depth perception less obvious, leading to less apparent temples. The frames themselves are inoffensive. While they may not match everyone's style, most people -- regardless of their age or gender -- will find them attractive. You can see them as new - I am the nerdy one I like your style. The second point consists of two paragraphs. The ability to function. I have been very happy with the way my frames have operated so far. In scenarios where I need to hear what's going on around me, I use them primarily for phone calls or to listen to music, podcasts or baseball games. It is a pleasure to speak on the phone My phone does not only allow me to hear exceptionally well, but the people on the other end of the line tell me that they can hear me better than when I am speaking directly into the If you reflect for a moment, this is not difficult to comprehend. The frames sit on your nose, an inch or two above your lips. In order to take advantage of this proximity, the mics have been placed in an advantageous location. The difference between holding a phone in one hand versus holding a computer You do not have to worry about their placement when it comes to your mouth It has also been a positive experience to listen to music, podcasts or baseball in general. If you expect quality from Bose, don't expect it A quality sound will be missed, and the frames will not bring out the best in a movie, for example. I like you Y- There is a sound quality problem with Yo Ma, but it appears to be okay It is particularly important to listen to podcasts and watch As long as I am listening to something, I am usually not completely tuning out the outside world or letting anyone else hear my thoughts (a luxury I wish I had fifteen years ago when I was working next to my supervisor in a cubicle). Now I find it to be especially useful The pandemic has forced me to stay home with my 4 year old kid most of the time. I cannot afford to have earbuds in when I'm watching him, since I need to be able to respond to him and hear him even Watching him at the playground, taking a walk, or doing things around the house with my Echo frames allows me to listen to the news or make a telephone call while I see him. In addition to outdoors activities, I find them useful for indoor activities as well. There are a number of chickens in my flock, for example. We try to let the dogs out as much as possible, but we need to watch them closely to prevent coyotes and hawks from harming them. Through my frames, I can talk to my wife by phone or listen to a podcast while at the same time being able to hear, for instance. They cry out in warning when they see a threat, when they see me getting close. I found it extremely helpful. As the city gets more urban, the frames prove to be less useful. Located in one of those quaint small New England towns just 10 minutes from Boston, I live in the greater Boston area. The frames are more or less useless to me when I am in the center of town. Can you tell me why? While walking on the sidewalk, I can't hear what I'm listening to if a car passes me by. If I turn up the volume, I can hear everything However, the volume of the music is ludicrously loud after the car passes. By reducing the volume, I can There are cars passing by every half minute or so, although traffic is such that they pass every so often. For them to be effective in this scenario, I would have to keep my finger on the volume button all of the time It would make me look a lot like Cyclops from the movie X-men He blasts someone just before he does it. In Boston proper, I might find this less irritating, since the steady flow of traffic allows me to have the volume near maximum all the time. ****Now, in terms of battery life I find I can wear my glasses all day, using them intermittently, without any trouble. As far as continuous use is concerned It takes me about 2 hours to listen to a baseball game or talk on the phone before I begin feeling sick An alert for low batteries. In general, I am happy with the outcome. The following are three examples of this. You can make reservations. Because of the variable intensity of background noise, I find the frames more or less useless in situations where the noise is changing in intensity. It is possible that my hearing isn't so great because I am an older person. Likewise, I think of some easy ways to improve my writing The Echo Frames would be significantly improved if additional features were added. It would be useful to have a reading light, for instance. Your partner will not be disturbed while you are reading in bed. There is a find too It would be great if the glasses feature was implemented. As a result, this feature represents a new level of functionality not explored by Amazon engineers This feature is designed to keep your glasses active even when you're not actually wearing them. As a result, I went ahead and purchased a Gen 2 set of glasses since I am satisfied with the first These devices are ideal for parents with young children, for those whose work spaces do not permit listening to the radio, and for those who engage in certain physical activities outdoors. Although you will be disappointed if you primarily use them in an environment with constantly varying levels of background noise, you can still expect to enjoy them in other situations. **********UPDATE ON PRIVACY 03/02/2021*** It has been brought to my attention that several reviews have expressed concerns about It is actually the Alexa app on your phone which communicates with the frames With or without the app, they are glorified earbuds. If anyone has concerns about privacy - it could be a big deal. For the purposes of clarity, they are indeed real enough. It would be more appropriate to address the frames rather than the app. Batteries with a 10 hour life). There is a legitimate concern animating these misplaced criticisms that could certainly be raised against many others and is, ultimately, an argument against having a smartphone. Some smartphone users may already have their privacy issues out of the bag given how well they use their phones in their daily lives.

In summary, it's a useless, expensive product that fails to deliver on its promises
3/5

Where does the point of these things lie? It has very poor audio quality, making it impossible to listen to music on these devices. Since most of us already have echo devices throughout our homes, why do we need to wear glasses to give commands or to ask questions to it? Since most of us connect our phones to our Bluetooth systems in our cars, these glasses are not necessary. In addition, the battery (still in the second generation Frames) went from 100% to 20% in very short time, which meant that you couldn't use them for the My evaluation is that it is a useless, expensive product that does not meet the needs of users.

Some people might not see the benefit of them, but I like them
4/5

Gen 2 Echo Frames are just a tiny bit better than Gen 1 versions This version of the iPhone comes in two new bright colors, with a slight improvement in sound quality, and with longer battery life. Here are my thoughts There are numerous pros to owning a car The following are examples of the words in quotation marks. Please hold hands - You can get Alexa for free It's pretty cool to have Alexa on your face. I really like to take calls or listen to text messages on the Frames, and the call quality is great. There seems to be no problem hearing me. When I listen to music it is better to have these Frames than earbuds These headphones offer free calls in part because you won't be able to hear what's going on around you while wearing them. When I'm wearing earbuds while walking around, I always feel like my hearing is somehow impaired, but these make the feeling like I can also hear everything else quite well. Having been a regular user of these, I have also enjoyed accessing them for my shopping lists, to make visiting stores a little Please be patient while we process your request It's easy to set up I love how easy it is to set up. It takes less than a minute to start using Alexa on your phone. All you have to do is open the app and follow the instructions. Please be patient while we process your request A stylish look My personal favorite thing about these frames is their Of course, this is purely a matter of There are now three different color choices, so there is a good chance that you will find a color that works Please be patient while we process your request So far, it seems like these battery-powered devices have much longer life than the Gen 1s. Despite their small size, they do seem to have enough battery power to easily last through the day. I recharge them at night as The following are the cons of this product The following music can be heard while listening to music For listening to music, the speakers are far inferior to most earbuds. The speakers are good for phone conversations or hearing Alexa's messages, but they are far setup of this type of speaker system does not lend itself to producing robust bass or crisp midrange sound The sound of the range. The music may be used in elevators They are not as great as quality headphones or earbuds if you are used to them. Please be patient while we process your request The price is $250, which seems a bit high for what you get. The Echo Frames are neat, but many other earbuds, such as the Echo Buds, offer the same functionality, and with much better sound quality for music listening. I personally like these frames, but I can't imagine they would be The overall picture is as follows On the basis of current prices, it appears as though these are just worth the money for a small portion should keep in mind that getting your lenses put in at Lens Crafters or another store will cost an additional fee if you need prescription lenses. In the event that you are considering getting some new glasses anyway, and you would find the hands-free device to be useful It's likely that these services would be of use to you if you regard free Alexa and texting as very beneficial. Yet, for many people, I am just like any other Alexa Listening to music while wearing earbuds with Bluetooth capabilities might be a better option at the moment. (I will try to update this review after using these for a few more months if I come to any further conclusions. ).

The lenses were sent with 2 right ones
3/5

It results in the cutting of two sets of right lens outlines for the Rx lens. The sound quality is poor, it only has two lenses on the right, and it keeps disconnecting from Alexa. I have Alexa app locked in memory even when I am not using the app. This item is a complete waste of money because you cannot use it as glasses frames since the lenses are incorrect. With two right lens shapes, the glasses look ridiculous on my face, making my eyes appear I strongly urge you to not buy this product!.
