There's plenty of extra space inside, so if you want to put other stuff in there with your 3DS, such as a small 6 game cartridge storage box, then that's fine. Yes, it has a belt loop on the back, so it is compatible with a belt.
In order to answer your question, I put together a New Nintendo 3DS and a PS Vita 1004 each with acrylic cases and put them inside this pouch. I would feel more confident in a slim version of the Vita, though these fill the interior space completely.

With no problem, I can fit my 3ds xl and 8 game case in it. In the event that it does not fold, probably.
In any case. Despite its flaws, the product is beautiful. A great design can be found on the sword and shield. Although the case has a leather strap that keeps the pouch fastened, it becomes untied after 5 or 6 uses. It was a surprise that it was not stitched to the leather, but rather simply glued to it. Although I really liked the Pouch, I found that detail to be unpleasant.
I would give it a 10 out of 10. Since my son hit puberty, he has become a cave troll. He seldom leaves his room and when he does, he eats and grunts, then returns to the He emerged from his cave bedroom to show me all the neat features that were on this Gameboy case.
I bought him this case for his Gameboy and his grunts turned into full on sentences. One complaint that he has is that there are only two slots for cartridges, so it doesn't actually hold his games. In addition to that, I get trolled by my trolls every now and then After grunting I catch his attention and he shows me his case and asks me (once again) if I like it.
I think the case has a nice enough design and can be used to store my unit in a drawer more often when I store it in my desk drawer. The case presented here would not be well suited for tossing into my backpack, so I am thinking of buying one of the other TLOZ themed cases. Mostly, I like the design and size of the case. The case is slightly larger than I expected, but I like it more than I expected. It would have been nice to have a more "pouchey" leather and the zipper placement is weird. It is placed to be on the left side of the bag when it is closed, which is a really stupid design choice. It would be nice if the zipper pull could also double as a zipper pull. As you currently see, the case looks great, but feels cheap (kind of cheap) in the hand, but the stylus looks nice (even if they can be snapped easily from being placed on the front of the case), so I would say this is It would cost me upwards of 50 dollars for a case like this, but made of durable leather and metal. It would also include a lockable zipper and a flap on the front to prevent the stylus from being attracted. Nevertheless, this is a visually impressive way to store a 3DS. Having this "Adventure Pouch" along will not make my adventures any more exciting.

A seller had sent me this case used and I was afraid I would only receive the case and not the stylus or map that came with it. As I said, I'm happy to see it came with everything you get when you buy I see nothing wrong with it, and it appears to me that the seller had it lying around and wanted to get rid of it, because there are no scratches or missing parts, just a little dust. Purchasing this product has been a good experience for me.
Good quality material, seems durable (it might not protect your stuff from hard impacts if you drop it, however it does not feel cheap or light). As I have four different DS consoles (an original DS, a DS Lite console, an original 3DS, and the New 3DS XL), I can fit any combination of 2 of them in this case, so the pocket is a good size. A quality product. I would recommend it to anyone.
I'm using it on my new 2dsxl unit and it works fine. There are two styli in it, and both games can be played with each. Also, I love the quality. Even though I wish there was a specific holder in the case that you could strap down your system, I still feel protected with it.
