Nintendo New 3DS XL - Pikachu Yellow Edition [Discontinued]

I was hoping for a US version of the New 3ds XL, but after reading other reviews, I anticipated receiving the U. S. version. (Which I did: E Version) They also try to conceal the fact that it is a U. / Hence the three stars) E system with round blue stickers (I also show a photo after the sticker has been removed) It irritates me greatly that they are permitted to act in this manner. I just wanted to add something that other reviews didn't mention. Yes, this system is still capable of playing games from the United States of America. (As previously stated by other reviewers) The only real issue with owning a U. S. Because it is from a different region, if the system breaks in the United States, you will not be able to send it to Nintendo to be repaired. In light of this, I've chosen to keep my U. To save time and avoid having to send it back, use the E Version. I simply wanted to let other potential buyers know about this. Overall, it's a lovely setup. The color of this soft yellow is absolutely stunning! I also like how the x, y, b, and a buttons are all colored, rather than just the letter. The screen is flawless, and it runs the games I own without a hitch.

To begin, I'd like to state that I was awarded a U. /Saudi Arabia/Malaysia/Singapore version, despite the fact that the product information does not show this. However, it is effective in the United States. Just make sure you select the United States as your region during setup, and you'll have full access to the store. Keep in mind that it does not come with an AC adapter, so you will need to purchase one separately. br>br>I used the built-in system transfer process to transfer my old system's data to the new one, and I was also able to use my old micro SD card by simply swapping it from my 3DS XL to this New 3DS XL. There are no issues at all! All of my previous purchases, as well as my Nintendo ID and game data, were saved and transferred to the new system. All of my physical 3DS games work flawlessly, with significantly less system lag than the original 3DS XL. br>br>The buttons are satisfyingly clicky, and the new second "joystick" feels soft and rubbery but performs admirably. The design is adorable in and of itself! My main complaints are about the system itself: It's not too bright of a yellow, and the sketchy sort of design looks very nice. br>br>My main complaints are about the system itself: There is no longer a physical switch to turn off WiFi, the stylus is no longer easily accessible (now in front instead of on the right side under your hand), the micro SD card can't be removed without a screwdriver, and the hole to attach a strap to the system is now in the top/back rather than the front/bottom corners (I used to use mine as a makeshift handle and can no longer). Those, however, are not the seller's fault. Nintendo's design is all there is to it.

The system worked flawlessly (at first), there were no glitches during setup, and everything was included in the box. There are some photos included. The DS background was purchased by my daughter and does not come with the system. br>br>My only gripe is that the system does not charge completely. It arrived half-charged, was fully charged once, and has been on "life support" since the battery fell to one bar. I'm only giving it four stars because I'm not sure if the problem is with my AC adapter or with the system itself, and the system, as far as I know, can be fixed for free. br>br>I've attached photos of how the system's lights look now that it's been charged overnight. The battery is so low that the red lights flash when you unplug the system. I strongly advise you to purchase Amazon's 2-in-1 product. year warranty that comes with the system, and if you have any problems, contact Nintendo support.

Games from the United States can be played on a South African console, and system transfers from the United States to South Africa are also possible. However, the seller hid this information on purpose - As others have mentioned, the region is obscured by a sticker on the box. As others have stated, this means it will have to be shipped to South Africa for service. br>br>Would have been 5 stars if it had just been advertised as being from South Africa, maybe 4 stars if it had been from South Africa but the box didn't have a sticker on it. However, placing a sticker on the box with the intent of deceiving buyers is a one-star rating.

There are no words to adequately express my delight with this 3DS. It is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. It's a lovely milky yellow. It makes me happy just to look at the system. I bought a few cute Pokémon themes in the theme shop (Pikachu Party, Onemuri Pikachu, and Pokémon Radiant Collection) to accent the system soon after transferring my data from my previous system, and the Pikachu design on the exterior is perfect. Needless to say, I'm very pleased with the final result. TL; DR - The system is absolutely stunning and well worth the investment.
