Detailed instructions are included in the box. It claims to include a remote, batteries, coax cables, and a warranty. Are you sure this is ?

As I purchased this in 2012, I was not sure what was in it. However, I assume that all parts were included because it was a new device. I have only ever bought rebuilt items without remotes or other parts when I bought them second hand.

Does the VCR have the capability of being viewed on a computer instead of a television?

It is only possible to use RCA or coax inputs if your computers' video card has those inputs. That's not what it probably does!

Is there a difference in the type of cable or connector required for connecting the TV to my smart home?

Cables that are usually used for coaxial connections. You know, the kind you get from the cable guy. You may also have to go to Radio Shack for the "good" ones that have gold tips.

Do you get the original remote with it?

I had to purchase a universal remote control.

I would not recommend buying anything from them run to the exit, not walk! My 80-year-old mother likes to watch her Western VHS tapes so I bought this set for her

Taking this lesson to heart was a wise move. Fast forward is the only way to go with this price of crap. It is not controlled by a remote. You are wasting your time if you try to do business with this seller! The company sells crap, and you should not trust them! I've been burned once, and I won't be burned again. A bubble wrap wrapper was all that was provided for I mean, at least fill the box so it doesn't flap around like a leaf.

It was missing a remote but was in good working condition otherwise. We have spent a few days moving home movies from VHS to digital format, and I am very pleased to have them on a new format for a low price.

I can make the computer work without a remote, but if you don't mind running back and forth it's fine

My preference would be for it to come with a remote control. The clock cannot be set or recordings cannot be made without a.

This was a pleasant surprise because it is well-made and easy to use when you have the right I am able to watch my old home movies beautifully on this program! VHS is the format for many of my favorite home movie memories, and this product brought back wonderful memories for me when I watched my granddaughter as a baby and young child on this JVC HRA591U 4-inch device. I threw my head back A video recorder that records in HD.

I was so happy with how well it worked

The advertisement claimed that the product included a remote control unit. I was so happy with how well it worked. There was an advertisement that stated that the unit included remote control, which was a plus. This model of VCR was not compatible with the remote control that came with it and did not work. The "Power" button was the only one that worked. It is not possible to set the timer, clock, channels, etc. AT AN ADDITIONAL COST, I HAD TO ORDER THE CORRECT REMOTE CONTROL UNIT (from Amazon). I REMOVED 1 STAR FROM THE REVIEW FOR THIS problem.

The remote is the wrong one

In addition to the remote, they included a new replacement remote which lists JVC as the brand on the packaging, but once the packaging was opened it had no codes for VCRs. It didn't work because there was a handwritten code on the list. There was no change in the jvc vcr code even after I searched the internet for every code I could find. It does not have a remote, so I have had very little use of it.
