Besides the fact that Sony is my first choice, what makes me stay with The stuff they do is awesome
5/5

The 65" panel on my television has been on my shopping list for a while. What's the reason? It's because I got a Samsung 4K TV that failed to turn on just after the manufacturer's warranty had I had pretty much ruled Samsung out as a potential source for my new TV given that the auto-on/off function of my nearly brand new 32" Samsung curved monitor no longer worked. I hope you have a good ride. In spite of being seriously dissatisfied with my current tv, I was eyeing some of the new OLED displays released at CES this year. So, this beautiful piece of kit came along just in time. The book I picked up really caught my eye. I don't want this set on my Samsung because it BUIRIES me. There must be a lot of you weighing this (A80J) against the more expensive (and more upscale) From someone who has owned a 4K television that was already of good quality (at least initially), I compare the 4K television to one that is already decent. I would recommend going with the Sony A90J even if you come from a 4K Sammy. It is worth the extra cash, but only if you are dedicated to your TV. Now, I am not saying I am not interested in the A90J (I am) from what I have read it is an amazing It is true. Having bought a few AAA 4K titles on my A80J, now that I have the money to buy a TV, I would recommend you give me the A80J, and I'll use the money I save to buy 30 or 40 AAA 4K titles. What should we do first? My camera lens did not have a lot of quality, so I did not take many pictures, as it would be ridiculous to presume you can discern the image quality on your own monitor. Simply put, when you look at the picture you are made to smile. Yet the one image I did take was primarily to show what an AMAZING viewing angle this television actually has. I can't describe it better than this, but I mean that it has the best viewing angle of any TV I have ever seen. As steep an angle as I can get in relation to the screen and still have you understand you are looking at a screen, that's what I did for this photo. Then how would you decide where to sit in a room with different seating arrangements? Getting a clear view of the landscape at extreme angles is a problem for some people? The set you need to try is THIS one. One would be hard-pressed to believe the steep angle of this view. I am in awe of it I was in awe over how sharp it was and how much color saturation there was. I'm impressed by the audio quality, which is far better than what I get from most televisions. This statement, however, needs to be qualified by the fact that I have a Yamaha RX-70C in my home theater A V681 is powering a full range of Klipsch speakers, including dual 12" models. The system is equipped with two Thus, I will not go so far as to say that home theater speakers are obsolete. No, at the end of the day, you still have the limitations of a television when it comes to speakers. Let me tell you what I have to Does a sound bar do the job for you if you don't do home theater, but are one of those individuals for whom a sound bar is good enough? There is no need for a sound bar to use this set. There is no doubt that the sound is excellent, and it will work for those that aren't too concerned about its full In order to meet my expectations, I need to have full THX (or better) surround sound, so the speakers will have to do The gap until I can get my home theater equipment connected to the new TV is a concern for me. Even for a built-in audio system, however, it's phenomenal, and I got some time to play around with it before going Yamaha crazy. As for the source of this test, it is none other than the Sony UPB-850 With an X800 (a perfect match if there ever was one) and a selection of 4K titles fit for a set such as this, you can't go wrong. Below is a list of titles I tested The Star Wars franchise consists of three main prologues In Star Wars XIIII The Last Jedi, Thor The Avengers Ragnarok Spiderman in Endgame Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse
Annd, I don't own it in 4k, but I was curious how Star Trek Deep Space Nine looks on a 4K display. After being converted into a digital format, Into Darkness was rated highly. This is what I will say. Many of these movies have just been like watching them for the first time. From the opening credits of Star Wars, where you can almost make out every single star against the black backdrop, to the lens flare in Star Trek doing it's thing, the quality of the image has just been phenomenal. Is this the same brand as the TV I used before? The last time I checked I somehow forgot. Below are some points I found of note in the menu. In the first place, it was nice of them to give you the choice to delete everything from the factory demo. It's very nice of them to allow you to delete that stuff. Normally, they don't allow you to delete that stuff. You can choose between these two options thanks to Sony. I commend you. Besides "picture mode," there are a number of other options, such as "cinema" and "game," but I think the one to rule them all is "virtual. " I can see why it sounds like a good idea. Then again, if you spend $3k on a TV, I would not consider it unreasonable to get a professional tune and calibration, it would probably be a worthwhile expenditure to get the absolute best image from the TV. I can do a few little things in the settings to make the detection better, but even with "amateur calibration", the results are excellent. noticed this has a "screen refresh" setting in the settings, apparently it helps to eliminate or reduce That's pretty cool, and I'll be doing this a few times a month as a kind of "oil change" / "preventative maintenance" on the OLED panels. You don't have to worry about your TV if you take good care of it! In addition, unlike most sets, where you have two options, namely "legs" or "wall mount", you can install the legs of this set in 3 different ways, based on your individual requirements. It is always a good thing to have flexibility. I had to even try a little gaming, but I'm pretty sure I cannot get to the full potential of my PS4 Pro with its "mere" spec. Grasshopper has been brought back to life in Grand Turismo Sport. Even so, this set has proven to be one of the greatest I was prompted to upgrade to the PS5 by that experience. Due to the fact that I own a Playseat and Logitech G29 racing wheel, I am planning to be among the first to buy Gran Turismo 7 when it releases in 2020, and I want it on this It was yesterday. You would be great if you could put a PS5 on the market, Sony. Playstation 5 should be the next logical step for this set. This is the console sitting behind me as I write this, whispering "PS5" in Don't break the hushed silence. There will be an announcement soon. However, I am ready to trade in my PS4 so I can finally do on this TV what it was designed for. It's important for me to note that I come from an upper-class background and not a cheap TV from the suburbs. Therefore, I think I may be able to give an honest opinion on "Is A90J worth its cost difference from A80J?"? The picture is not visible to me. My preferred use for the money saved is purchasing a whole bunch of 4k games to play With the savings you get by switching from the A90J to this, you can buy a bunch of 4K titles AND a UBP-enabled TV There is an updated version of the X800. There's no question about it. That is the only way I can say "Oh, yeah, A90J!". means you have a room full of cash and a wheelbarrow to help you move it from one place to another. I have a 4K Sammy that runs circles around this set. Seeing brightly is a good thing. There is a vividness to it. It has a sharp edge. I think it's incredible. There is no comparison to the viewing angle and contrast in this image. I've never seen blacker blacks nor whites with as much contrast as these. I would love to speak to them ABOUT contrast, because these are the first blacks and whites that I've ever seen. Apparently I'm going to have to resign After watching a lot of my old favorites on this, I decided to explore some of my new favorites. In addition to Dr. Strange and Alien, Close Encounters of the Third Kind is very high on my list. TV is forcing me to dig through my collection to savor them in their full splendor and grandeur. Don't you think that's the purpose of all this? In conclusion, if you are looking for a new TV and OLED is what you prefer, this is a very good option. There is no way to do it. hit the ball out of the park with this one. It looks like 2020 is going to be a great year for new TVs. There are few sets that can't match this one.

I hope that my experience will help to illustrate for you what a fantastic set this really.

It is a beautiful picture, but I will stick with my Roku
4/5

I compared the quality of this TV to my 2 year old 4K LCD, and the picture quality is outstanding I was blown away by how much better the screen looked in nearly every aspect. My wife and kids, who don't notice picture quality (or sound) nuances, immediately commented on how gorgeous it was (my daughter even said that she had no idea what she had been missing out on). The picture quality is fantastic, and I could sing its praises all day long. There is no difference in the thickness of the screen compared to my phone (or perhaps thinner). However, the cabinet on the back of the screen is still a few inches deep, so at the very least, it is held a few inches away from the wall, which negates the ultra-slim feature, since it does not extend beyond the cabinet. It is thin-looking There are many advantages to using a screen. As a liability, that kind of takes on a whole new meaning at this point. What's the reason? The thin screen now means that you have to be careful when you handle the TV to get it on the wall so it doesn't crack, and the cabinet, which is more "touchable," is in the middle of the back of the screen, so it's hard to grab onto anything. To me, it would be more convenient if the cabinet occupied the entire back side of the TV, much like a normal LCD screen, and if that enabled them to spread the contents of the cabinet out more and thin it out just a bit more, that would be great. It is a much better TV speaker than the one it replaced, but it still has only "TV Speaker" quality sound. Since most people won't use the speakers of their TVs as much as they care about sound, to be honest, but if you have to, then this TV sounds great. In their view, the screen acts as While I'm unsure how they managed this, there is some very good spatial matching in the overall scene. Although this TV came advertised as being a Dolby Atmos screen, when I tried to use my Roku to change the sound mode, I was told that it was not compatible with Atmos. If that's just my connection or if the TV is doing that, we'll never know, but it should look stunning on any quality- Considering this TV comes with Roku, I'm not sure what Atmos would add.
Talking of Roku, it has Google TV. My curiosity got the better of me last night, so I picked up a Roku. Having said that, I need to make a point of saying that I'm not terribly impressed by It's fine, but I'm not going to use it since Roku can do everything it can, and the other way around it isn't possible. While I was initially setting this up, I opted not to enable any of the smart features - My only desire was for it to function like a standard TV and show whatever content was stored The idea of having to agree to a bunch of privacy policies and other licensing issues before I could just use it as a regular TV turned me off to it. There are a lot of pixels in this image, guys. . . What is Google's privacy policy and why do I need to accept it-- It has nothing to do with Google right now. As soon as the initial set-up is completed, After enabling the Google TV features, I went ahead and set them up. This annoyed me because I wanted YouTube to be set up under my wife's account, not mine (because this TV was chiefly for her use) but that wasn't an option if setting it up with Google Home. As an administrator, I figured I needed to add her to my home (I hadn't done that yet simply because she rarely wants to handle the network or smart devices or anything of that nature. There is nothing complicated about what she wants, just a button to press). The first time I added her, I tried to delete her It allowed me to begin the setup, but then refused to progress past the part where it asked me if I wanted to set up the TV (something about not being able to authenticate the device). It was 20 minutes before I tried it again after doing a factory reset. As it turned out, the part where the TV asks you questions and you answer them with the remote was fairly quick and straightforward. Still, I had to set it up under my account, but I could add her at a later date. An annoyance. Later it added a ton of channels I had no interest in, so I went back and removed it one by one The first. It's that time of the month There was no sign of one of the channels I wanted, The Great Courses Plus. The Play Store isn't available for Google TV, so I went to it and tried adding it. The app is not available on my Android phone, but it is on the TV. That means just because the TV runs a flavor of Android does not mean you will be able to run It is a good thing to note this. My TV can go to Netflix, Youtube, Vudu, Amazon Prime, and a few other big players, but for all that I'm interested in I still need to keep my Roku hooked up, so what's the point of utilizing the smart features built into the TV? Previously, I was using the TV as my network device, and I have disconnected it, so now, I'm just using it as a plain TV. I'd like to point out a few things. am not really a big fan of the texture on the back of the remote, but otherwise, I would recommend it Roku provides the functionality I need without the need for the TV remote, so I don't have to worry about it. A brief summary of the image quality is given below I would give it a 10+/10* for sound quality. In terms of a TV, I give it Three out of ten points are given to an external system Installing and setting up has been rated an 8/10. Overall rating 8. 5/10Although there are a couple of points to note This is a placeholder page for Terry Miller. If the TV is just used as plain TV, the privacy policy is required - the TV must accept terms and conditions of use. Five for the texture on the back of the remote control that gets in the way.

A stunning piece of work
5/5

A better OLED TV has never been owned by me. If you are considering which OLED to get, this is it. Technology will change that within a couple years, but If you are considering which OLED to get, this is the one you should buy. This product is a great one since it is 77" in size for the price and offers so many features. It is fantastic to own a Sony A80J. It is likely that you will never have to leave your living room if you pair it with a Sony PS5. It was a pleasure having my order shipped from Amazon. The delivery was fast and of high quality.

I had done my research before ordering, and I am Very Happy with how my order turned out.
