Selected User Reviews For LG OLED77CXPUA Alexa Built-In CX 77-inch 4K Smart OLED TV (2020 Model)

The picture and TV are AMAZING, but the software is extremely buggy and frustrating
3/5

While I would rate the 65" CX as a 5/5 TV, and have experienced quite a few software issues/bugs, it has upset me quite a bit. Most of the "smart" features are actually unnecessary, which is why I am willing to pay more money. As soon as the software is updated, I will update this review. Setup I have a Windows 7 PC. I have the following Apple TV 4K, desktop PC with 2080 Ti, and Windows It is equipped with one - A picture or image of good quality Excellent. [6/5]. This LG OLED is no exception, as you can't beat it. I have never seen anything as good in terms of color, black levels, or contrast. It's a fantastic experience to own a 4K HDR/Dolby Vision television. There is only one Make sure you are watching this in a dark room or opposite a dark wall because the display is very glossy, so it will be visible any light behind the viewer. At the moment, I watch movies at 4k60 and play games at 1440p120. In the HDMI2 era, there are none. The source has only one source as of this review, so I haven't tested 4k120 gaming on it yet, but I'm looking forward to it! Using TruMotion is a waste of time. Just In fact, I prefer the smoothness, but the artifacts are truly horrible. An excellent example of this would be any scifi show with star fields the scene's interpolation makes tons of mistakes and glitches The Engineers at LG See exactly what I mean by turning on the "smooth" setting on TruMotion when watching The Expanse on Prime Video. This sound is I don't use it I agree with you about 1 setup), but it will do just fine for on-site There is no sound on TV. As a result, it is hard to find anyone offering online services Is the TV sound good on a $3k television? Please note Software/OS I find myself reporting bugs for days (more on this later). The short version is there are a million settings, tucked away after menu UNDER menu UNDER Optional items are in places where none of them make any I mean I can't believe how hard it is just to give me one unified "picture settings" window and have all the options under it instead of my 5 settings panes down different nonsensical In some cases, you will be forced to clear out other settings without your knowledge. It means, for example, that if you find AI picture settings (which are not in video settings by the way) and decide to turn them on, it will override the settings of your current profile without warning you. Additionally, there is a profile section. The number of colours available is large, and the options to select from are many (Game, SnI, Cockt, etc. ). A feature that wasn't obvious to me was that profiles can have different settings. In other words, you can change certain things on the "Cinema" section that you can't change on the "Standard" section etc.

Few bugs Please read carefully

- When using GSYNC with a PC, there are a lot of flicker issues. This was very annoying as sometimes the flicker was the long black flicker that landed every 30 seconds or so and you got a black frame for the Each 30 seconds, 1 second is added. Another part of the flicker is a gray static that appears every five seconds It takes six seconds and lasts one minute. The number four. In order to get both of these to disappear, I had to use "game" mode with ALL filtering, TruMotion, etc. disabled. Turn on instant response and deep color, and in Nvidia control panel make sure RGB is selected as the color setting. (The YC settings all caused the screen to If you want to use RGB, full black level range (not just limited) is best! The GSYNC mode is set to "GSYNC Compatible". The low latency mode is set to "Ultra. " The test I performed on my part, using a 2080ti and the most recent Nvidia drivers, took a lot of trial and error. There are multiple HDMI cables connected directly to the TV and of course I'm directly plugged into the TV. my problem is solved now with the above settings, so I'll knock on wood. I do not think the system should be fragile like this!

- It is not uncommon for the audio to interrupt every 15 minutes or so through the optical output I would like twenty Apple TV 4K has a number of problems It is > In this category, you will find the receiver. It is > If I use Dolby Vision on my television (the receiver doesn't seem to be able to handle it), I had to go to the source. It is > There are two types of television It is > Return of the optical signal to the The TV turned on and off randomly without any apparent cause at first, but after a few hours, the audio would freeze and become unresponsive. A 2 second interval every 15 seconds I would like twenty You need to restart the TV to get it to pop up once Please note The only way to fix this is to turn the TV off, sleep mode will not work. Please read carefully

- I don't really think this is By default, the TV will shutdown and sleep when shutting off. If you need to restart the TV in order to resolve a flicker or sound glitch, sleep will not fix the problem. When you hit the power button, you need to go into the energy settings and tell it to shut down It boots up really fast anyways, so it's no big deal. Please read carefully

- TVs can get into instant response bugs. When the screen flashes, the banner that says "the Instant Response is on" will show up, and then it will flash again, and the banner will be displayed again. There will be. As far as I could tell, this was a deal This is a deal breaker, because you get a ton of input lag (move mouse, cursor moves way later when instant response is off. You feel rubbery when you try to control). In the good news, I was able to work around this by switching to the "game" profile, however following this I found the following Please read carefully

- Video power saver profile This causes lots of problems since the television seems to randomly switch to the video power saver profile. Make sure you switch away from this profile right away, and if you run into issues, check if the TV has switched you back. Negatives [Misc Negatives] - It is an antidepressant that is extremely intrusive It is set to monitor everything you do and view by default, unless you opt out. In other words, it will track everything you watch. For my part, there is so much tracking going on that I won't allow this thing network access unless I'd like to update it. Please read carefully

- She's thin as a sheet of paper. My iPhone is only half as thick as this. I find that technology to be fascinating, but the idea of handling this thing frightens It's quite fragile so you need to be very careful when setting it up, and I was convinced it would break if we even attempted to lift it with two people. You can lift a 90 lb mirror that is half the thickness of your phone, but it is wobbly. In a sense, it's a bit like that, so spread its weight out (don't grab the corners by the top! A piece that I can lift and not have to worry about cracking would be ideal. What does it matter how thick the back plate is once the piece is mounted on the wall? Please read carefully

- The following features are available with smart homes Using a TV to cool my house may be cool if you want it, but for me personally I would never do it. If you set your whole house up to this there would have to be some kind of madness given the privacy/invasive tracking that happens by default. Have a look at how Apple handles privacy (on device learning, different privacy options, etc. ). If you track your customer's every move and make it impossible for them to opt out when you first start a relationship with them When you ask them to trust you with a hot mic in their living room and a toaster that automates, they probably will not. I just wanted to offer my two cents. -[Summary] -

A TV like this is the best I've There is no other way to describe this picture than breathtaking, with the only obstacle being the As for 4k120, I am very excited to get my hands on it when the next-gen GPUs are released in the coming months. I would give this a 5/5, and if they patch the software I would definitely return to give it another 5.

The best TV out there A resolution has been found to the surround sound issue
4/5

If you pay $1800 for a TV, you would expect great picture quality. As far as I'm concerned, it The television is worth the price. Overall, I am very satisfied with it, but I have discovered what I believe to be a software bug. The customer service team at LG is working on the issue. Yet in the last 10 days, they have not found an answer to the problem after referring it to the technical team. It would be nice if they did as soon as possible. There is an issue with the television, as it is advertised as being able to connect two bluetooth devices You can enjoy true surround sound without any wires with these speakers. In addition to the LG-P880, I also bought I had been recommended speakers for $200, but when I went to install them, I found that I could only place one on the left wall There is only one It was not possible to select the correct answer In position 2). A second problem was that the one that did connect had almost no volume at the maximum Although I attempted to increase the volume by using the balance slider between internal and surround sound speakers, it did not seem to work.

Winning a true surround sound television was not my primary reason for buying an OLED TV. The reason I finally decided to upgrade to the best tv on the market was because of it. They need to fix this problem as soon as possible. There is a new software update from LG, which has been posted It has been resolved that my surround sound issue A number of functions that weren't working are now working, and the sound is superb. Now, when you look at the screen where you pair the speakers, you can see which one is to the right and which one to the When I was struggling with it, I did not see any indication of that. As for the TV, I can enthusiastically state that it is the best on the market.

I am extremely happy with the result
5/5

I updated the review (10/13/2020)

It was easy to install. The TV mount was screwed onto the back of the TV in about 10 minutes. In addition to attaching the TV at multiple locations on the mount, I spent a lot of time ensuring I inserted the bolts into the desired holes on the mount. In order to mount the bike it takes two people. Despite how powerful you may think you are, I do not care. As much as it has to do with weight, it has to do with wingspan. In order not to damage the ultra-thin TV display, you need to place your hands so you don't damage the screen. Only two hands are therefore not enough while holding the TV. When my visiting parents came to help me, I enlisted their assistance Legal definitions. Our work was done once we picked it up, mounted it on the wall, and hooked it up to the internet. I have plugged in the power and cables and am The recommendation is Consider purchasing an AC outlet directly behind your TV if you are willing to pay a bit more. In addition to power cable, they also sell - I know there are kits that don't require an electrician, and they work just as well as the electrical kits. They are simply outlets that distribute cable to allow you to use an extension cord to bring power from the outlet behind your ground-level outlet to another outlet. Then, level the furniture along the wall until it reaches the extension outlet. You don't have to pay for an electrician to install a new outlet since it's basically just a fancy extension cord. It is all a matter of perspective. A new outlet or an extension will solve your problem. Whether you choose to mount your TV on the wall or not, you don't want cables dangling down the wall. Because the wall I mounted on was a perimeter outdoor wall, the gap between the dry wall and concrete block was about 1 inch, and an outlet had to be installed. You have 25 inches of room to work with. It took my electrician until his hands were bleeding to feed the cables through the wall (better him than me) because there was no room. In addition to drilling directly into concrete, there was a need to drill the wall mount through the drywall as well. It's always tucked away on the wall so that TV won't fall off. There's enough room on that mount to mount ten TVs. Besides the LED strip stuck to the back of the TV, I also bought an LED strip. In addition to being plugged directly into the USB input, it turns on and off as well when the TV is turned on. The colors are changeable, as long as you choose a white color or one similar to that shown in my attached photos. The soft white color complements the television and creates a glowing outer edge. Review of the original manuscript. There's no point in trying to summarize the amazing picture quality, as everyone has already stated it. Just put it this way it's unbelievable. Despite the thinness, the screen does impress me when it comes to its thickness. There's a smaller screen on this than on downside of the screen being so thin is that I was concerned about applying too much pressure and causing damage when we lifted it. In the instructions, it is described how to lift the TV with your hands however, most of the pressure will be applied to the bottom half of the TV so it is not really an issue, but something worthy of knowing. All inputs and outputs can be easily accessed on the back of the unit. A total of four HMDI ports (facing the TV) are located on the left side. There is a power cord attached to the right side of the device, though it faces rearward. I just wanted to provide that information and not make a complaint. You could not ask for a simpler setup. With my cable box and PS4 connected via HDMI, I was able to access both devices simultaneously. Afterwards, I turned on the TV for the first time. After a few minutes, the TV automatically identified all the components plugged in and asked me "Are these the correct components?"? Besides providing the wifi password I did not have to use any of my own energy to set up. In my Soundbar I plugged in the Bose speaker after everything was setup. When I tried to plug in my HDMI eArc plug it didn't work as it always has (same issue Having worked with numerous Bose Soundbars, I've come to the conclusion that the optical cable is the only way to get the soundbar to function, and I do not blame LG for the problem. The company definitely has a shortcoming in that regard. In any case, I plugged it into the optical port of the TV. You must navigate to the "All Settings" menu from there to adjust the sound. You can choose to use optical, TV, both, or both and both seem to work. Once I made the correct selection, everything Interestingly, the TV has an over the air LG television service. This was a total surprise for me. As I said before, I mistakenly thought that was the cable that came with my Spectrum TV. As soon as I realized what was happening, I was pleasantly surprised. am not certain I will use it, but if the cost of cable is high, I may look into it It was our older TV that came with Amazon Fire TV, and this new TV does not come with it. The same services we use, such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Disney Plus, and Hulu, are built into the system. one would expect, a huge number of additional services are available as well. Thanks for making it so convenient for me. To conclude, I highly recommend this TV purchase without a single doubt.
