A mistake is made on the included installation template for 55 GX
3/5

Although the TV is so far great, the installation was a bit of a pain as a DIY project. First, the manual says the included mounting hardware is only although LG's product page recommends installation into a stud. It is important that you read this No problem, I'll figure what I need to do to hang the mount securely. * Then, LG provides a full-featured, multi-language user interface The mounting bracket size template is designed to help you locate it Make sure you are aware of what you are buying Be sure to measure yourself instead of trusting your template! According to the template I got, there were 4 1/8" of space above the mounting bracket, but when I actually hung the TV, it only came to three inches above it. It really irritates me. A difference of an inch in height won't be a big deal in my case, but it could be a problem in some cases. When you measure the template, you can tell that it is incorrect. As you can see in the picture, the distance from the center of the 55 GX to the top is about 14 3/4", but the TV is only 27" tall. The number five.

I wasn't expecting it to be this different
3/5

Here are some easy topics to get started with. I love the picture, it's so vibrant and beautiful. As we have only had it for a few days, we will have to see how it holds up over a longer period of time. My first choice was a Samsung, so I didn't have to worry about burn-in. As the Samsung had a lot of reflection issues and rainbows across the screen, which overpowered the picture, we returned it, replacing it with an OLED from LG. In case you were wondering, this model does not come with stands, I didn't realize it was called a gallery, but I took that for granted. As for the sound, it was insanely good as well. Whether you already own an external sound bar or sound system, you'll appreciate the quality of the sound. In the end, I may throw away my crappy Bose 700 headphones because they are difficult to maintain and are a pain to use.

After reviewing the data, I removed stars in two areas. It has been mounted for the first time. It is not good enough quality to hang the TV with the hardware sent with it. I followed their directions to hang the TV, and five anchors broke off the wall when I tried to mount the TV. A great deal of damage was done to In the end, I went to the hardware store and got anchors that will hold a total of 300 lbs. A little more is always better than a little too little, but don't trust the hardware with your **Downside** two stars are removed from the scenery due to complications caused by This is the first time I've heard that LG has followed Wii's footsteps. When it finally turns on, you are forced to hold it at a ridiculous angle because it is so challenging to turn this point and shoot remote on. You spend endless hours trying to get the remote to work, then almost give up when you finally manage. On one occasion, I pointed the remote away from the TV to register the pointer, since it was the only way to get it to work. The 9 year old was able to make the remote decision, which is well worth a full star.

This is a beautiful TV for use with a PC
5/5

In the beginning, I waited for the 48 inch CX model to be released to be the primary monitor used for programming and gaming on my computer, but I was impatient. In addition to my GX monitor, I had a 43 inch LG 4K 60hz monitor (LG 43ud79b) before switching to the GX. So I took down my 55-inch Samsung flat screen TV from the wall and moved it over to my desk. I thought 55 inches might be too big as a desk monitor, so I moved it from my bedroom to my office. I initially felt overwhelmed and overwhelmed by the magnitude of the project. The fit became more comfortable after three days, however, because I became accustomed to the size. Only issue I had with the setup was the fact that the TV wasn't mounted to the wall, and therefore had a "close to" feeling from my seat. As I looked at the CX specs, it appears that it will not be flush against the wall since the back of the TV is quite thick and the mounting system will also add to the space between the TV and the wall. *br /*br >I then looked at the GX model, a similar model but more expensive, and the whole back of the TV is very thin, and it comes with a flush mount for mounting it on the wall with zero gap so that it sits flat. The short version is I bought a 55 inch GX model for $2299, which is an excellent price because I also got a mount with it. Nevertheless, the TV does not come with a TV stand. For my use, I was going to wall mount it anyway, so I didn't really care about the TV stand, but if you can't wall mount, you may need to purchase the stand separately from LG. I was able to mount the TV in about 20 minutes using the included screws (4 screws) and two studs on the wall. Keep in mind that the included mount is only about 16 inches so placement on the wall will be quite hard unless you have two studs in the perfect position. The cable management system is very well implemented behind the TV and it will route through the middle of the back of the It will not bulge out because of cables and will remain flush against your The only thing you need to do is add a cable raceway. It took me only a few seconds to turn on the TV and comment on how good the picture quality was compared to the LG IPS In terms of using it, I mostly use it to view PC documents and do not watch cable TV or Blu-ray or UHD movies I have a face about the size of a 3 year old. You are only nine feet away from the TV, so you feel very comfortable there. This subject is about PC monitor usage as a programmer and a gamer. It is about display at 4k 60hz + GSync + HDR (on or off) (using 2080 ti). A great screen for watching the big game. There are no obvious errors in any of the text. In PC mode, I am using it. The label or icon must be changed to the PC icon to make it work on the PC
2. 2. Turn on the game mode on the television 3. You can find the Nvidia Control Panel there. My output dynamic range is limited as I set the color format to 422, 12 bit color depth, and 12 bit color depth. The fourth paragraph. When using 3840 x 2160
5 at 60hz, you can use HDR with the above settings. With 60hz gaming and HDR, you can play at your heart's content. The first game I played was Gears Tactics. The second game I tried was It looks like both games are awesome. A GSYNC range of 40 to 60hz will be available. The sixth point. The only game I turn on HDR for is one that supports HDR. I hate how it looks on desktop. Playing on a PC at 4K 120hz without HDR and GSYNC would be the best option. If you want to use this mode, select 4K resolution under PC in the Nvidia Graphics Control Panel. 3.
It will be possible to choose 100Hz or 120Hz. The third part. HDMI 2 restricts the use of HDR due to the GSYNC feature, but you can enable GSYNC. Current generation of video cards are not limited in any way. There was a time when HDMI 2 was the only option. When a video card with HDMI 2 support comes out, we'll be able to use 444 120hz 10bit and HDR at the same time. LG's CX and GX and all other 2020 oled models will be limited to 40 gbps We will not be able to use 444 120hz HDR 12bit since it uses the 1 rather than the 48 gbps. A side note is that last year's model was capable of handling full 48 Gbps, but is not able to handle 180hz at 4k like the CX or GX models over HDMI The overall experience with this TV was very good, and I'm happy I purchased the GX model over the CX model since it sits flush against the wall which allows me to see the TV more clearly. In terms of the Size, it gets used to and it feels right after a while. The smaller I get, the more I'll appreciate it. It's a sweet spot for me when it comes to 55 inches. Here's what's new just got a Radeon RTX 3090 card. Also applicable to the 3070, 3080 with HDMI 2, although it also applies to RTX 3070, 3080 with With just one cable, I'm able to select 3840 x 2160 resolution, 10 bit and Full RGB, GSYNC on, HDR on, and 120 Hz. The LG Optimus G has initially been plagued with bugs like the screen going black, but LG has already fixed this problem There is still one remaining issue, in which the FPS stutters between 100 and 120 frames per second. A firmware update should be released soon that will fix this problem based on information provided by LG. As a temporary workaround, you can disable the maximum frame rate in NVIDIA Control Panel and set the frame rate to 99 FPS in order to avoid the stutter when the frame rate goes over 100 FPS. *BR>*BR>I'm enjoying my LG OLED GX even more now that I have a RTX 3090 and have never played games on a screen like this before. Getting the issue fixed so quickly was a great feat by LG. Thanks for your support, LG. With the new firmware, the stutter issue for high frame rates of between 100 and 120 frames per second while using GSync has been fixed. This is the third OTA update that I have received. As far as I am aware, the issue has been For your information Including bolts are sufficient for mounting the TV on the studs. I have had to pull out the TV countless times in order to upgrade cable and try out different cable systems. A TV is attached to a wall using four bolts that are included. In preparation for the TV's arrival, I bought stronger bolts from HOME DEPOT which I did not end up using because they would not fit into.

There is a fundamental problem with TV firmware
3/5

There's a distinct tendency to use the legalese language more and more these days -- If you do not accept the license agreement, none of the TV's features will work. The Yes button on the license agreement dialog would be fine except that you must accept the license agreement first because it is required to click it. The TV is caught in an endless loop of license agreements. The restriction does not just apply to the smart TV apps, but to ALL menu options. It is impossible for you to change brightness and contrast without first agreeing to the licensing terms. I believe LG is missing the mark here as there seem to be lots of people with this issue. The whole thing is becoming so pointlessly frustrating and unhelpful that the TV has taken on the appearance of a very nice looking brick. For now, the current settings are barely usable, but I cannot adjust the aspect or the scan settings, nor can I change the The TV looks great, but the firmware is utterly broken.
