Don't be afraid to buy this television, especially if you're on a budget and haven't upgraded your TV in a long time. Obviously, you get what you pay for, but not everyone can afford the UHD 4K OLED options - which can cost thousands of dollars depending on the brand. br>br>While the TCL 4 Series is more of an introduction than a straightforward future-proof alternative to what's currently available on the market, there are still some caveats to consider if you do end up buying this television, the most significant of which is the lack of an HDMI 2. To name a few drawbacks, there is only one port, the viewing angle causes saturation depending on where you look, and you must create a Roku account in order to use your television. br>br>Despite those few gripes, everything has been working as intended so far, and it arrived in perfect condition with no scratches or noticeable defects, which is a huge plus. Granted, if you can afford a slightly better television, you should go that route first and foremost. Just keep an open mind about what you're getting for the money; obviously, you won't get the best 4K experience for the money - The point, however, is to be a low-cost entry point. And, for what it's worth, it's a good place to start.
The HDMI port version is not described in the specifications (appropriately). With an Xbox Series X, which REQUIRES HDMI 2, the TV will NOT run at 120hz (120fps). BEWARE!.
This TV requires the owner to create an account with a service called ROKU in order to activate it so you can use it for whatever purpose you purchased it for. I saw this was a ROKU TV but I did not realize at the time of purchase the amount of privacy innovation this company does in order for one to even watch air wave TV. br>br>If you are concerned about invasion of privacy and data gathering in how you watch TV, this is the TV for you. Spend your money so that Big Brother can keep an eye on you and target their advertising towards you.
The only criticism is that you have to choose which port/cable/box you want to use every time you turn it on. If HDMI is the main input, it should just turn on; it's inconvenient that you have to go through so much trouble to watch TV. Apart from that, it's of high quality.
I'M ANGRY ABOUT THIS AND WILL NEVER SPEND A DOLLAR OF MY MONEY ON ANYTHING THAT BENEFITS ROKU! This is a load of nonsense, and ROKU should be ashamed of themselves! IF THE SUBJECT OF PURCHASING A TELEVISION COMES UP IN CONVERSATION, I WILL RELAY THIS MESSAGE TO EVERYONE I KNOW OR MEET! It only cost me one television, but it will cost ROKU a lot of new sales in the future! ONE ANGRY MOTIVATED TRICKED CUSTOMER CAN BE A FORCE TO BE HANDLED WITH AND CREATE SIGNIFICANT HARM TO A BAD ACTORS BOTTOM LINE!.
I bought a separate stand to attach it to so that it would fit on my existing TV stand, and it works great. It took me no time to set up the TV and update the apps and services I use on it. It has four HDMI ports, but the biggest drawback for me is that it won't work with any sound bar and isn't Bluetooth compatible. You must purchase a sound bar that is designed specifically for the Roku TV. In addition, instead of being taken to the last thing you were watching, you are taken to the home screen every time you turn on the TV. These two issues are minor, and given the price of the TV, I don't see why I should discount it. So, if you're on a budget, this is a great option; it arrived in perfect condition and with care just two days after I ordered it.
This is a terrible television with excellent sound and picture quality. The only gripe I have is that it is located in my room. Because of the remote sensor, the light stays on and can't be turned off. If you prefer a dark room with no light, simply cover it with a blanket and remove it when watching television. P. S. This is a fantastic place to play video games!.
arrive in good health. There are no blemishes or damage to the surface. As per the instructions, leave the box empty. Thank you so much. br>The tv is a little big for me (I put it on my work desk and have to sit a little too close to it)br>I like the picture quality and how easy it is to use. There isn't anything that is too difficult to grasp.
