If you have cable or DirecTV, hold off on purchasing this television
4/5

This TV lacks a crucial feature that all of my previous televisions had: the ability to choose which INPUT is used when the TV is turned on. The only options available on the new Google TV are Home and Last, which means that when you turn it on, it will either go to the Google Home screen or the last screen you used (home, Netflix, TV, etc. ). I'm returning the TV due to this serious oversight. When I turn on my Directv-enabled TV, I want HDMI 1 to be one. This feature is available on every smart TV I've ever owned. TCL has it in my son's room. br>br>It's a fantastic television in every other way.

For those on a budget or looking for an entry-level 4k TV, this is a good option
4/5

I wanted to replace my 2015 4k Sony TV and was on the lookout for a new TV that wouldn't break the bank. A 75inch X800H was on sale for around 800 dollars at the time on Amazon. After doing some research, I discovered that the 2021 Model was an updated version of the X800H 2020 model, and it included everything I needed. I chose the 65-inch television. Nothing was damaged in the delivery, which was quick and efficient. It was simple to put together, and I was able to complete it on my own. However, I recommend enlisting the assistance of two people to help lift the TV and install the stands, especially if the TV is 65 inches or larger. This is sort of a basic entry/budget friendly TV, you have the typical apps that come with it (Amazon, Netflix, hulu, etc. ) and it works perfectly. Because it runs on Google OS, you can both Chromecast and use Apple Air with it. One disadvantage is that, unlike my 2015 Sony TV, I haven't been able to find a way to stream content directly to the TV. I have an Android phone, and I was able to mirror cast directly to my 2015 television. I've discovered that the only way to stream directly with the 2021 model is to use Google and Chromecast. It has four HDMI ports, two USB ports, an ARC port, a port for a sound bar, and the usual ports for cable and composite video, which is more than enough for me. HDCP 2 is supported by the HDMI ports. 3 only. There is a cable management clip that you can attach to the stand, but it isn't the best. br>br>The remote is also fairly simple, with some standard quick access buttons such as Netflix. When you're watching live TV, it's nice to have a guide button so you can see what shows are on at what times and what's coming up next. br>br> The picture quality was noticeably better than that of my 2015 TV, which was also quite good. The colors are bold and stand out. I'll admit that it doesn't match the picture quality of higher-end Sony TVs, but as a casual viewer who primarily watches online content (Netflix, Hulu, etc. ), I have no complaints. To get a picture quality I liked, I had to fiddle with the settings. Depending on the film or television show, 4k quality and upscaleing can range from mediocre to excellent. The picture quality on Hulu/Amazon while watching Gemini Man was incredible. Mayans, a TV show, had excellent picture quality, and some old classics such as Rocky and Top Gun looked great. However, in some films and television shows, such as Safehouse, the images appear washed out and out of tone. It didn't bother me to the point where I stopped watching. The blacks aren't great, but from what I've read in other reviews, the blacks never appear washed out or grayish during dark scenes or transitions. I can't comment on picture quality or reflections from windows and sunlight because the TV isn't near any windows in my living room. In the daytime, I haven't noticed any distortion in picture quality, and the viewing angle is pretty good, so if you have a medium-sized living room like me, this is the perfect TV for you. HDR10, Dolby Atmos, and HLG are all supported by the TV. I've found that both HDR10 and Dolby Atmos aren't the best on here, and that picture quality varies a lot depending on the movie or TV show. However, for me, HLG has served as a good balance setting for picture quality for 4k and HD movies to pop in color and contrast; you can tweak the color settings for HDR10, but I'm not experienced with that. However, depending on the user, HDR10 may be preferred over Dolby Atmos and HLG, or vice versa. This TV's brightness is also quite good, and it can get quite bright at times. In terms of gaming, I'm a casual gamer with a PS5, and I know the biggest gripes will be the lack of VRR and low latency mode, as well as being limited to 60hz refresh rate. br>br>In terms of live sports, this TV is also pretty decent. br>br>In terms of gaming, I'm a casual gamer with a PS5, and I know the biggest gripes will be the lack of VRR and low latency The blacks aren't great either, but if they have HDR, they can still play games. It does, however, have a low input lag and a fast response time, resulting in smooth movement. I've had no problems gaming, and I haven't had any lag or problems with games like Days Gone, Final Fantasy 7 remake, or Last of Us II. br>br>Although the sound quality isn't great, it's an improvement over my 2015 Sony TV, and it's nice that it can calibrate itself based on the size of your living room or wherever you place it to get the best sound. Using a sound bar, however, is still recommended. Overall, for someone looking to upgrade from an older TV to something more modern while staying within a budget, this is a good entry level to Sony's 4K televisions. In general, the image quality is quite good. Overall, I'm satisfied with this; however, I'm aware that there are better Sony TVs with better picture quality, which, as is customary, can be quite expensive. On this TV, gaming isn't too bad. If you're a Call of Duty fan, the higher-end models or their X90J, which is an updated version of their 2020 X900H model, are worth considering. The sound quality is excellent. However, with a soundbar, it's much better.

I bought this for our cabin living room and it produces an image comparable to other TVs three times the price
5/5

I compared other OLED TVs and blah blah blah. . . this Ultra 4K TV is a steal at $850, producing a picture that's on par with or better than models three times the price. I've always preferred Sony TVs because I believe they produce the most realistic, crisp image. Airplay 2 is built-in, which is fantastic. There's no need for an Apple TV because you can stream directly from your iPhone or iPad. There's also a built-in Chromecast feature. The ability to set up and control other devices using the TV's remote is fantastic. This is, without a doubt, the best television I've found for the money. With flawless, careful delivery, Amazon nailed it.

Don't worry, if there's a problem, Amazon will quickly resolve it! The best part about this television is Amazon's customer service, which is incredible
5/5

Story: My daughter was playing video games and watching TV within 30 minutes of arriving. Oh no, there was a nasty line on the screen. I called Amazo and said, "Things happen. " A new one will be sent to you from customer service. At 8 a. m. the next day, Amazon arrived at my door with my new replacement. The television is perfect in every way. Bottom line: I shop at Amazon because of this! They are someone I can rely on.

In dark rooms, it's a disaster! You are capable of greater accomplishments! Pretty cool television, but the black levels are flat and the bright levels are terrible, making the screen appear dull and dark
3/5

Look elsewhere if you want to benefit from Dolby Vision and HDR. Every night, I regret buying this TV because the brightness levels and darks give it a dimmed look no matter how dark the room is. It's connected to an Apple TV 4K, which I have. You could definitely improve! And for a lower cost!.

When you said, "SONY TV IS THE BEST," you meant it
5/5

In comparison to my other three 4K TVs, this one is the best. br>I bought this TV a month ago and it has worked flawlessly up to this point. Every time I get new 4K movies, I feel like I'm in a movie theater. br>My only gripe with this TV is that the SLEEP TIMER is only 2 hours long, which is insufficient for me because I occasionally drink beer and prefer to watch movies for 4 hours or more with a personal timer.

The television is incredible
5/5

This television more than lives up to Sony's reputation. I've owned Sony Shortwave radios and still have an old Sony DVD recorder with an ATSC tuner, but this is my first Sony television. When it comes to receivers, Sony has always been at the top of my list. br>br>This TV has a fantastic picture and excellent sound for a flat screen. The sound and video settings needed to be adjusted. The factory settings did not produce very good sound, especially when it came to sound settings. I was able to connect a Bluetooth headphone set to the TV as well. I bought it primarily for the Next Gen tuner, which I have yet to test but am confident I will. Because I mostly watch OTA (over-the-air) television and live in a remote area with poor TV reception, I'm more interested in it as a receiver. I've been watching OTA for over 12 years, with a Roku box thrown in for good measure. In terms of reception, it's on par with, if not slightly better than, other TVs I've used with the same antenna system. A signal diagnostic feature is available in the help menu, which displays signal strength as well as the crucial Signal to Noise Ratio. It also allows you to add digital channels without having to do a full channel scan, allowing you to turn the antenna and add channels without having to do a full channel scan. br>br>Features of Google TV that I like. A full-featured web browser is available for download from Sony. Google TV also lets you add Pluto and Xumo channels to your TV tuner app (and choose which ones you want to add), allowing you to surf streaming channels alongside your over-the-air channels. br>br>So far, I can't think of anything negative to say. This is a television that I would recommend to my friends.
