This adapter works with Android devices that have OTG (on-the-go charging, data transfer, and video output) capabilities.
Because it's just a LAN connector, I don't see why it wouldn't work with any Apple computer that has a USB port. C is for connector.
No, the host should be your Chromebook, which means you'll have to plug your laptop into the USB C port.
It is, in fact, excellent.

Playing is incredibly simple. It was getting almost full 1GB speed when I first installed it (I have a 1GB connection). When using Speedify to bond, I noticed that the adapter (I used five connections for bonding) was performing poorly. So I halted the bonding process, isolated the adapter, and tested it to see what it was doing. Download speed is 15 MBps, but upload speed is 16 MBps (on my connection, this is the maximum upload speed). For maximum line speed, I also use Cat 8 cables. Other lines were also put to the test. I put both USB-C and USB-A devices through their paces. I tested it on two other systems, both of which had USB-C ports. They get a C for it. The same outcomes were obtained in all cases. Totally lost download speed, but oddly enough, upload speed is still working fine. br>br>Waste of money; look for other adapters if you want reliability.
Before connecting to your computer, double-check the usb c port connector. My Macbook Pro was unable to recognize the one I received right away. When I took it out, I noticed some rough metal debris stuck to one of the usb c connector's inside corners. The connector's metal portion appears to have been improperly formed or cut. The adapter was identified after attempting to remove the debris and plugging it back in. However, the area where I removed the debris is still a little rough, so I'm going to return it. I'm just hoping the metal debris didn't damage my Macbook Pro's USB-C port when I first plugged it in. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> The new adapter that Lention sent me was well-made, and it allows me to connect to the internet at Gigabit Ethernet speeds. It took a few tries for my Macbook Pro to recognize the adapter for the first time.
I have a Gigabit internet connection and was unable to transfer more than 300mbps with this device; however, I purchased a different device from a different vendor (Uni) and was able to transfer data at speeds approaching Gigabit speeds. To summarize, this device does not work as advertised and cannot even come close to Gigabit transfer speeds. Remove yourself from the situation.
I'm not sure if it's safe to use it! darn it . Two of them were bought.
For my new MacBook Pro, I required this. It's incredibly easy to use and truly "plug and play. " I ran the speed tests and found that everything was in order. It took about a minute for me to complete this task. br>br>It has a nice design and is very light. Additionally, the cost is reasonable. br>br>There isn't much else to say because it's a very basic but essential adapter to have; I love it!.
I needed an ethernet adapter for my ultrabook, which lacked an ethernet port but did have a USB type port. Using a C port over USB is much more reliable for speed, so I tried this product. Plug and play installation on Windows 10 worked flawlessly. I haven't tested it on Ubuntu yet, but I believe it will work. This adapter is also compatible with the majority of Android devices that have a c type port. If you're using Microsoft's Xcloud service or Google Stadia in this generation, this is extremely useful.
This was extremely simple to set up and functioned admirably for about seven months. I suddenly lost internet access and narrowed it down to this particular unit. I tried plugging my Ethernet cable into another dongle and it worked fine; I'm not sure what the warranty is, but I'm hoping for a refund or replacement.
I was looking for something similar to this, and I found it. All I needed was to be connected to the network via a hardwired connection. Everything fit perfectly, and connecting it to my computer was a breeze. It does not appear to be cheap or flimsy.
